What's Missing in the Land of Harry Potter?

I highly doubt anybody noticed my absence in the blogosphere this past week, but I was visiting land of milk and honey Disney and Universal Studios Islands of Adventure, aka home of the new Harry Potter Wizarding World. What can I say? Snow covered crooked houses of Hogsmeade Village with Hogwarts Castle looming in the background was almost magical. The crowds of eager Harry Potter fans from all over the world - not so fun, but understandable (hey, readers from GB, do you have some kind of holiday or promotion going on now? Cause I've never heard so much "british" in all my years in the US ;)). But from my TwiMom point of view, you can probably easily guess what was missing... Young, pink-cheeked and handsome Robert Pattinson as super popular, yet fair and honest Cedric Diggory. There's really not too much in terms of using movie actors throughout the park, really, inside Hogwarts castle, containing the famous Forbidden Journey attraction. And even there, most of it was on the way to the ride, while passing Dumbledor's study and Defense Against Dark Arts classroom, where Harry, Ron and Hermione "talked" to a room full of eager fans patiently waiting in long and slow line. I know, Cedric is a secondary character in only one movie (out of many)... But still, a twifan can dream, right?

'Twilight' Official Illustrated Guide finally to be released!

The long awaited 'Twilight' Official Illustrated Guide finally has a release date! EW and MTV are both reporting that the guide will be released April 12th 2011. Yay!

The guide will include “character profiles, outtakes, a conversation with Meyer, genealogical charts, maps, extensive cross-references, and much more" Stephenie also confirmed that Alice's back story and illustrations of Bella's wedding dress will be in the guide as well (I am super excited about Alice's back story and kind of worried about the dress but anyway...)

Peter tweets about 'Breaking Dawn' scripts!

Peter tweeted about the 'Breaking Dawn' scripts today and from the sounds of it they seem to be complete!

"Just read the Breaking Dawn scripts. I must say... AWESOME! Very excited. :)"

'Breaking Dawn' parts 1 and 2 according to Production Weekly  will have a four month production schedule. Filming is scheduled from November 1 - March 15. Gossip Cop confirmed “The actors arrive on set in October for rehearsal, hair and make-up tests, etc.” Shooting begins in November"

'Welcome to the Riley's' poster, stills released and Kristen on Leno Friday!

The poster for Kristen's new movie 'Welcome to the Riley's' has finally been released check it out to the right courtesy of Movieline!

Hitfix also has some new 'Welcome to the Riley's' stills that you can check out HERE. This movie looks so,so good!

Finally Kristen will be on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno this Friday night to promote the movie so set your DVR's! The movie is in limited release in New York, Los Angeles and Boston on October 29th, with additional cities to follow in November. from October 29th  (based on the success in opening cities) planned in other locations for November 5th.

'Twilight' hand model 'wants to act'!

According to the New York Post 'Twilight' hand model Kimbrey Hickey wants some recognition for her contribution to the saga. According to the article;

"Hickey's lack of fame has her cracking her knuckles in frustration.

"It was major exposure for my hands," said the petite, 40-year-old model. "But nobody knew who I was." So Hickey now stops anyone she sees reading the book to inform them of her contribution. "I see people reading it on the subway, and I say, 'Those are my hands! I'm a hand model!' " she explained. "I'm sure they think I'm crazy -- a crazy lady on the subway."

Ashley to auction off dress for charity

Per The Twilight Examiner - Ashley Greene is once more set to auction off one of her dresses for charity. Following on from her donation last year to the 'Donate My Dress' charity this year Ashley is donating a dress to EBay's October Giving Works.

'Eclipse' continues to pull in at the 'Box Office'

Box Office Mojo is reporting that 'Eclipse' has taken in $300,412,216 domestically and $389,454,400 internationally. This gives the movie an overall take in of $689,866,616.

Just as a comparison 'New Moon' made $709,826,790.00 worldwide in it's entire theater run of 133 days. 'Eclipse' has only been in theaters 96 days and is just $19.97 million short of that total in two thirds of that time!

Jamie Campbell Bower 'Camelot' still!

EW has a sneak peek of Jamie Campbell Bower's portrayal of King Arthur in Starz's new series 'Camelot'. 
"The oft-told Arthurian legend lives again in Starz' upcoming series Camelot (premiering next spring), which features New Moon's Jamie Campbell Bower (left) as the teenage King Arthur and Joseph Fiennes (right) as Merlin. As expected, there will be plenty of swordplay. ''I feel like I'm becoming Roger Federer,'' says Bower. ''Wielding Excalibur, my right arm seems to be gaining in size every day as my left arm stays weak and flabby.''"

Possible new Isle Esme?

Alt Film Guide is reporting that is the small colonial town of Paraty [pronounced Pah-rah-CHEE], located 240 kilometers from Rio, along what some refer to as the Brazilian Riviera, is being scouted as a possible Isle Esme for 'Breaking Dawn'.  


Brazil is a central location in Bella and Edward's honeymoon (they travel through Rio to get to Isle Esme). The president of Brazil's Rio Filme has been open about his groups attempts to work with Summit and Bill Condon to get the cast to Brazil for the honeymoon scenes. We will keep you posted!

Tinsel tweets and has movie in 'Shockerfest'

Via Gossip_Dance Tinsel Korey's new movie 'Stained' will air on TV as part of the ShockerFest International Film Festival.   For those in California the movies will air every night in October at 11pm on KAZV-TV (Comcast Channel 195, Charter Channel 14 and broadcast Channel 14).   Stained is scheduled to air on October 8th.

IMDB Is listing Mackenzie as Renesmee!

IMDB is now listing Mackenzie Foy as Renesmee. As we reported several days ago here there has been no formal announcement from Summit but 'EW' (a very reliable source) confirmed a deal was near. This update just adds to my excitement personally - I really think Mackenzie suits the role perfectly!

'Burlesque' trailer with Cam Gigandet
