Some Words on Eclipse from the Stars

I'm still debating how many more times I can get to the theater to see New Moon, and I'm already getting excited for Eclipse. During the press junket, the stars were asked about what we can look forward to in Eclipse. There are minor Eclipse movie spoilers.

Taylor Lautner Photoshoot Outtakes

It's definitely photoshoot day for Eyes of Amber today. Here's a few outtakes of Taylor from the Men's Health shoot.

Don't make me upset...

Taylor is so buff, he uses weights for pillows.

See more at Lion & Lamb.

Empire Magazine Photoshoot Outtakes

This is another favorite of mine, so much so that I like the original picture of Rob and Kristen as my "Bella and Edward" picture, more than the Twilight poster. Empire released some outtakes recently, and of course, they're great. Some are even funny! And, of course, it's great to see Cam Gigandet and Rachelle Lefevre again!

The original, now in HQ!

Prom pic?

I spy still-scrawny Taylor in the back!

Okay, so Cam, Rachelle, and Taylor are all business here. What's so funny, Rob and Kristen?

Rawr! Tear him up, Kristen!

Noogie, incoming? Or a flip over the shoulder?

See more at Robsessed.

Alex Meraz Photoshoot

Well, hello Alex..

Pictures of Alex Meraz are always nice. I'm not sure what these are intended for, but Twifans.com has even more of them...

The truth straight from Chaske Spencer

Apparently there have been a lot of rumors swirling around Chaske and his time in rehab. While we haven't reported any of them here, I think if something is big enough for him to make a personal statement, then we should help him to get the word out. Here's an excerpt.
To all the wonderful, incredibly loyal fans:

For those of you that read that I was in rehab, I wanted to make sure you heard the truth from me directly. Yes it is true, that I was in rehab, however it was over 19 months ago, long before NEW MOON was even on my radar. It was a pivotal time in my life where I was lucky enough to have supportive friends and family to help me get healthy.

You can read the rest at his site.

The Eyes of Amber girls are big fans and absolutely loved his portrayal of Sam. "Jake's right, you're good with weird." I shall not reveal who it was, but one of the girls I was with at the midnight New Moon may have left saying that if she couldn't have Edward, she was Team Sam! Let's help Chaske get the word out and set the record straight. We congratulate him on his sobriety and the fact that he's willing to be so candid just shows what a class act this man is.

Paps: The Fans Fight Back “He Doesn’t Want This, Neither Do We”

We woke up this morning to a very unpleasant surprise. The obtrusive pap pics of Rob from last were the straw that broke the camel's back for a lot of us. We are thrilled to join up with Thinking of Rob to promote a fan movement saying enough is enough. And to be honest, we'd had enough of this a long time ago.

We are proud to be a paparazzi free site. We love Rob, and the rest of the cast just as much as the next person, but no one should be put through this kind of stalking. A celebrity owes us exactly what we pay them for.

Just in case you're confused, that means they owe us their time on the screen, the stage, the court, the field, etc. When they are "off the clock" they owe us NOTHING.

I have yet to grasp why the fact that someone is well known means that they should have no privacy. If someone treated your average citizen the way that celebrities are treated, they would be considered stalkers and peeping toms.

Due to recent paps pics of Rob that came out today and invasive ones taken before (chasing Rob while he’s driving, taking pictures of him from rooftops), the fans are standing up and fighting back. We want the paps to know that we don’t want to see pics like these, so stop taking them. Stop invading his private life. Enough is enough. Because no person deserves this, celebrity our not. There are limits and you have gone too far. He doesn’t want this, neither do we!

Here’s our way of fighting back, in less than 24 hours we were able to get 500+ pics of fans posing with their arms over their face to show their protest. This is our way of saying leave him alone. We’re hoping this message gets across to the paps. Fans from all over the world sent in pics and translated quotes.

Check out all the great fans and other sites working together to spread the message! Thanks again to ToR for starting this campaign.

***NOTE*** Apparently there is some misunderstanding here. We were never intending for anyone to believe those are pictures of Rob. And yes, those are my "short, fat, ugly fingers" that bring this blog to you, along with Kerry who is pictured at the top. I encourage you to go to the Thinking of Rob post and read all about the campaign.
We agree that the best way to fight the paparazzi craziness is to stop posting their vids and pics. That policy has been in effect here at Eyes of Amber for quite some time. We appreciate your support.
If you would like to contribute to the campaign, you may still send your pics in to ToR at thinkingofrob@hotmail.com.

Rob's thoughts on having children...

This is one of my favorite interview clips to date. He always does so well in Japan.
We all know Rob can be quite the joker. I hope for his sake, saying that his child will agree with everything he says is a joke. Otherwise, the adjustment to being at the center of all the Twilight fame will seem like a walk in the park compared to the rude awakening actually raising a child will be.

Thanks to Robert Pattinson...Who? for the clip.

Kerry saw Sam & The Men in Seattle!!

These are the pics that she's sent me on her phone! Sorry I missed you guys!

****Kerry here. This was an amazing show! This was my first time getting to see Sam and the Men perform live, and I'm so glad I went! They did most of my favorite songs, including Too Far Gone, Whiskey, Passport and Sea Blue, as well as a number of others I wasn't as familiar with, but every bit as good. 45 minutes of Sam just wasn't enough though! More Sam Please!

Afterwards, I did get a quick moment to talk to Sam and the guys and get a few posters signed. Yay! My big accomplishment for the night? Forming complete coherent sentences! Go me! Sam is very sweet, as are the rest of The Men. I managed to get a picture of the four of them. Unfortunately, all I had was my phone for a camera, so that's why the quality sucks. But it's them. Honest!

The first opening act, Elizabeth and the Catapult, were also very very good. Elizabeth has a beautiful voice!.

The headliner was Justin Nozuka, who I was also unfamiliar with. I wasn't able to stay for the full set, as my evening out was about to turn into a pumpkin, but also enjoyed, he definitely had quite the following in the crowd, also. I have to say though, no one beats Sam, I think, even if I had been unfamilar with all three acts, he still would have been the highlight of the evening.

Thank you, Sam, for the music and the laughs, I had a blast!

Sam and The Men Stories

If you're a fairly new reader to the blog, you may not know of my complete fangirl status when it comes to the music of Sam Bradley. My birthday present from my hubby this year was a trip to see Sam and The Men. I could not have asked for a better present! The show was awesome, I was privileged to get an interview and talk to the guys in addition to the awesome show that they put on.
Kerry would tell you that I never miss a chance to promote the guys on the blog, so I thought the fact she's going to see them warranted a post! Not to mention there is some great new stuff out there.
The wonderful Amber and Lili from Shack of Soul got to sit down with Sam, Dave and Jeff back on November 21 and their exclusive interview is beyond entertaining! Here's an excerpt.

Sam: It was only supposed to be for one show.

Dave: Yeah.

Jeff: I didn’t know that.

Sam: I didn’t know that either but you said that…

Dave: Then after that show we were like, ‘We should keep doing this.”

Sam: It makes a better story that way.

Read the rest here.

Also, the lovely Loren and Shaun who were the subject of my t5m article about men who read Twilight have been getting in as much Sam as possible. Here is an excerpt from their recent post
Shaun went to go get us drinks and check out Elizabeth & The Catapult and Justin Nozuka’s merchandise that was displayed, and ended up running into Sam. Sam not only recognized and approached Shaun, but remembered that he’d met him in Birmingham (like 6 months before). They talked for a few minutes about multiple things and then Sam went back to the back to get ready for the show. Shaun came back up with us to watch the show, and was already impressed with Sam at that point.
You can read all the rest here.

If you aren't already following Sam on twitter, you are missing out. Follow him here. And what's that, you didn't know that The Men tweet too? Well you must follow them here.
Have you downloaded Sam's EP, because I know if you've hung around here you've heard about it! You can get it directly from his website here. I adore this EP!

Individual pictures of Sam courtesy of Jen Cokeley. You can check out more of her great Sam and The Men pics with the SoS interview.

Kellan Lutz on The Bonnie Hunt Show

Very, very cute interview. Supposedly, there was more with his dog Kola, but I haven't found a video that includes it.

Bonnie is hilarious, flirting with him the whole time, but with good cause, watch his grand entrance!

Ashley Greene on The Ellen Show

I love when our Twi-lovelies are on Ellen! Ashley appears to promote New Moon and her Maxim cover, and to just generally look as gorgeous as always.

Oh and, the woman she talks about...it wasn't me..

Honest...

Screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg on New Moon and Eclipse

Here's a little blurb with Melissa Rosenburg. She talks about getting the Twilight gig, working with Stephenie Meyer and a little about what we can look forward to in Eclipse.

For those going spoiler-free, she doesn't discuss anything that you wouldn't know if you have read the books, but otherwise, this is your warning.

Producer Wyck Godfrey on Breaking Dawn

This is pretty much the most official word so far on Breaking Dawn. I know there have been a lot of rumors and he said/she said about it, but I don't post much of that, because I'd rather bring you as official as possible news.

Here's a quick statement from Wyck Godfrey, producer of Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse.

Breakfast of Champions?

Official Remember Me Poster

Okay, everyone close your eyes. Pretend with me for a moment that we're a Rob blog, and not a Twilight blog. This is just too cute not to post.

An official Remember Me poster: (Umm..open your eyes now!)

So adorable!

Twi-Theories Tuesday: Team Charlie

This post will contain major spoilers for the entire book series. Go Read.

This might not really be a theory, exactly. I just figured it was time to talk about Charlie. A few weeks ago, Amber ran an interview with my unicorn hubby on her t5m blog. One of the questions was "Which character do you identify with the most?" His answer surprised even me.

"Charlie, I always feel like I’m on the verge of seeing the big
picture, but when I finally see the werewolves, I’m not glad
I know."

Poor Charlie. The man has been through a crazy few years. In the mess that is the lives of Bella, Edward and Jacob for those couple of years, it's easy to miss what Charlie has gone through. I'd feel compassion for a man that just had his teenage daughter move in with him after 17 years anyway, much less with all the extra stuff going on!

So, let's sum up Charlie's recent history. His 17 year old daughter moves in with him, out of the blue. She gets a new boyfriend, that on paper he likes, but no sooner does she introduce him as her boyfriend, than she comes home crying and saying she broke up with him and wants to leave. Three days later he gets a phone call that says she's been hurt, and somehow the same boyfriend is there, 3000 miles away with her. A few months go by, things seem okay, then the same guy, leaves town with his family, quite suddenly, apparently having informed his daughter of this and the necessary break up in the WOODS, and left her there.

Six months later, she disappears for three days, nothing but a note, and returns, with the boyfriend! And everything appears to be all hunky-dory with them. Two months later, they announce their engagement. They get married, and leave on their honeymoon, where, apparently, his daughter contracts some bizarre South American disease. He's not allowed to see her, until one day, the son of his best friend shows up, strips naked, and turns into a gigantic wolf. Oh, and by the way, he's a grandfather. After a month.

.........

Poor Charlie.

As an officer of the law, it's his job to be observant. Granted, he's a small town cop, not much to do besides ticket speeders and break up rowdy teenage parties, but the investigator is there. Sometimes, we just don't want to know.

I wonder if he always suspected there was something different about the Cullens' and it was confirmed when he actually saw the changes in Bella, or if it just never occurred to him until moment. He knew something weird was up the day of the newborn fight, in Eclipse, he commented on Billy's odd behavior, and was very close to connecting the sounds of the wolf howls to Jacob's yelling.

He also sensed something was coming with Bella and Edward. He did plead with her to tell him before running off with him. At some level he did know significant change was happening, but was it empty nest? Or another suspicion?

He also knew there was something up between the Quileutes and the Cullens, even if he didn't know what, exactly. So my questions to you, because I have no answers this week:

Did Charlie have some idea prior to Jacob's demonstration, and the subsequent conversation?

Do you think he was happier knowing? How would you feel, in his position?

A Tangent:

I love book Charlie, but I have to admit, I love him even more since the movies have come out. Billy Burke has completely consumed the character for me, and made him even more real to me. Unfortunately, we completely missed his birthday last week. Bad Bloggers!

So..

Happy Birthday Billy! Thank you for your wonderful portrayal of Charlie, the fun tweets, and rocking the copstache!
