Take That Batman, Part Deux!

Don't get me wrong, I LOVED The Dark Knight. But seeing stories like this just make me smile:

From Variety.
Summit Entertainment’s “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” tore up the box office record for best opening day, grabbing the title away from Warner Bros. “The Dark Knight,” and earning a spectacular $72.7 million yesterday at 4,024 theaters.

An exceptional feat for a film playing outside the summer frame.

There were an array of estimates being reported on the internet about how high the first day of "New Moon" actually was. This morning's figure is Summit's official Friday estimate.

“Dark Knight” had minted $67.2 million from 4,366 runs on July 18, 2008 before making a three-day opening weekend of $158.4 million.

Fueling the Friday B.O. for “New Moon” were midnight shows in 3,514 venues which drew in a record-breaking $26.3 million for the time slot.

The opening day for “New Moon” posted more than a 100% gain over the first Friday of “Twilight” which made $36 million a year ago and a three-day weekend of $69.6 million.

The best part, really, to me, is that last sentence. New Moon did more yesterday, than Twilight did the first weekend. Welcome new fans!

Kerry's New Moon No-Spoiler Review!

I finally got to see New Moon yesterday evening, I know it was still the first day, but I was dying to get to the theater and see it, especially after hearing all the glowing reports all day. Thank you thank you to everyone for being very good about not giving away too many details. This review will be spoiler free also. I'm only intending this to be an overview of the movie I enjoyed. I'll write a more detailed review after the weekend.

First off, it was beautiful. The colors, the sets, even the individual shots, everything was gorgeous. It felt very real to me, I could place myself right there with the characters. Most of you know I live only a few hours from Forks, and the colors really are that rich.

Let your minds rest about Taylor being able to play our leading man. He was amazing. Kristen Stewart drew me right into Bella's emotional state, I still feel like I'm reeling from the emotional roller coaster Bella experiences in the story. Rob had Edward's emotional journey so wrapped up. The pain, the confliction, even the relief.

It wasn't just the Big Three, either. Michael Sheen blew me away as Aro. Dakota Fanning is as scary as Jane as I knew she'd be. Daniel Cudmore, intimidating as Felix. Chaske Spencer as Sam, did fantastic with conveying the leadership and wisdom, and I can't wait to see him again as the movies progress. Billy Burke, of course, steals every scene. Bella's human friends, played by Michael Welch, Anna Kendrick and Christian Serratos were perfect.

The soundtrack fits perfectly. "Possibility" by Lykke Li has been my favorite since I first listened, and I knew it would make me cry wherever it was placed. My guess proved wrong, and the actual placement broke me, those tissues in my New Moon Preparedness Kit came in handy about then.

In order to balance my fangirly self, I will admit there was one scene I felt was just...silly. If you've seen the movie already, you know which one. If not, you'll recognize it right away. More on that later.

I want to say one thing that was extremely important to me. We all know how wonderfully decorative our cast is. We've all swooned together and discussed the need for fresh articles of clothing when we watch this movie. And it's true, they all live up to their wonderfully gorgeous potential. However, and this is a big however, the emotional journey is so amazing, it really overtook the eye-candy for me. I admired them at the moment that were intended for you to take in physical appearance. But the focus was on the emotional journey, not 'how hot are Rob and Taylor.'

I'll be seeing New Moon again today at some point, possibly tomorrow as well. I can't wait to see what I notice differently the second time.

Go and enjoy!

Jimmy Kimmel Live with Rob, Kristen and Taylor

This was a very cute show, lots of giggling and blushing on the part of our lovely Twi-fecta, and some hilariously funny questions from the audience.

Thanks to Robsessed for the videos.

Take That, Batman!

Early numbers are coming in from the New Moon opening night.

From Larry at ProNetworks

"Unofficial reports say The Twilight Saga: New Moon has shattered The Dark Knight’s $18.4M midnight debut for a 3-day weekend. Sources put the total at $23-24M. This would also surpass Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, whose 5-day weekend began with $22.2M on a Tuesday night. Summit has not yet released official numbers.”

Woot! Go Twi-hards! It will only get bigger as more fans get to the theater for the first time (like me!) and those from last night return for round two (like Amber!).

I can't wait to see the final numbers next week!

From the Twilight Lexicon

UPDATE 2:00 PM (from Amber)

It's Now Official!!!!!

Summit has announced that The Twilight Saga: New Moon has officially set a new all-time midnight box office record, taking in $26.27M from 3514 theaters.

Yay!! Let's keep it racking up for the weekend!

Taylor, Dakota, and Rob Hit the Talk Shows Again

Here are the most recent round of talk show appearances today. However, don't miss Amber's No Spoiler Review of New Moon!

Taylor on Jimmy Fallon

This has to be the funniest one yet!!! I was in tears from laughing so hard!

Dakota on Jay Leno

I can't say enough good things about Dakota Fanning. I love her!

Taylor on the Today Show

It's so easy to forget how young he is, and I'm not just talking about the abs! He's always so professional and well-spoken, with a great sense of humor.

Rob on The Ellen Show

I haven't actually seen this yet! I'm waiting to see it on television, which won't happen for another two hours! The plaid is always win, though!

I have seen New Moon - But no spoilers here!

As Kerry explained, I have already seen New Moon, but she has not. I realize that a lot of you are in that category as well and I certainly do not want to spoil this epic movie for anyone!

But having said that, there are just a few things I want to say. I LOVED NEW MOON!!! Yes, I'm shouting. Sorry, can't help myself. Chris Weitz totally gets New Moon and it absolutely came through in the finished product.

Robert, Kristen and Taylor were beyond my expectations. They were all fantastic. This movie just went so far beyond what I expected from it. You can absolutely tell that Chris used the book as his bible when making this film. I didn't know it was possible to love these characters even more than I already did.

I just cannot say enough about how much I loved this movie. In eleven hours and thirty minutes, I'll be seeing it again and that isn't anywhere near soon enough.
I also have to say how great it was to see Twilight on the big screen one more time. It was the perfect lead in and certainly made the wait that much more pleasurable.
I'll be writing more about the movie in the next couple of days, but I don't want to spoil anything for you guys.

I love Stephenie Meyer so much for bringing us these beautiful stories and I am so grateful to all these wonderful actors, directors, producers, and everyone involved who has brought her stories to life and allowed us to disappear into a town called Forks...with some detours along the way.

I will give you this one little tidbit though. We were lucky enough to see the previews for that other little project that kept Rob busy over the summer, and it looks fantastic as well.

Be Prepared for New Moon

Today is the day! In a few short hours many of you will have seen New Moon!! Many of our international fans have already, as midnight makes the rounds of the world. I won't get to see it until tomorrow afternoon, so at some point today I will likely disappear from blogs and twitter to avoid too much spoiler madness. (I know, I have no willpower, but I'm going to try.)

I thought I'd share with you my New Moon Prepardness Kit. Just some things I will be essential for optimizing my New Moon experience.

1. Team Edward bag. While Jacob (and Paul) just might try to sway me to the wolf-side with all the snarling and the abs, I know my true love. Proclaiming loud and proud for Team Edward and Twi-Hard participation. I picked this up at the Hot Topic event last week. I'll only use it for Twi-related events. I promise!

2. Box of tissue. I'm not messing with hankies, or little pouches of tissues. I'm going to be a blubbering mess nearly immediately. The Romeo and Juliet thing will make me cry romantic tear, then I'll just know what's coming, and start sniffling, "the scene" will kill me. Every vision, every scream, every almost feeling moment, will just keep it going, and then, we all know the tears at the end. Remind me to ask for an extra popcorn bucket to use as a trash can.

3. Towel. For the uh...drool. Because even if Taylor/Jacob and Alex/Paul can't sway me entirely,it doesn't mean I'm not going to enjoy the view. And the whole wolfpack combined? That's like a...24 pack! And then we're not even talking about the peace of glittering yumminess decorating Tuscany.

4. Bottle of water. Seem weird? I'm not buying 30 gallons of soda at the theater, I don't want to have to spend half the film trying to keep my bladder from bursting. So just a small bottle of water to keep the drool and tears stocked.

5. New Moon novel. Going to need something for entertainment while standing in line. Might as well refresh my memory for the 100th time.

6. Pocket Edward and Bella. Seeing them jumbled together will remind me that all will be well, during the dark parts of the movie. Such love! Plus it'll be more entertainment for the line. Maybe others will bring their pocket friends and we'll have a full reenactment of the book!

7. Phone. I'll turn it off for the movie, of course. But while we're waiting, I can continue to watch the Remember Me trailer, repeatedly.

What are YOU bringing to New Moon?

More Talk Show Round Up

Amber brought you the Today Show with Robert Pattinson already today. It was just one about an hour ago here, and it was a wonderful way to start my day. Rob cracked me up with his True or False answers.

First off, Rob appeared on David Letterman last night. Very funny, I love Rob's sense of humor, the dry, sarcastic, almost-can't-tell-if-he's-joking thing. I'm thinking he looks very Robler, too. New York must have that impression on him.

Next up, Kristen rocked it on Jimmy Fallon. Loved the story about Martha Stewart, LOVE the football chucking in the mini-dress and killer heels!

Lastly, here is Rob on Regis and Kelly. I was honestly pretty impressed Kelly didn't launch herself over Regis, but maybe that was just the commercial break. I still love seeing both Rob and Kristen get more comfortable in interviews.

I can't say how much fun this is for me, I totally missed out on the rush of the Twilight craze, since I was so late becoming a fan. And more to come!

It's New Moon day!!!!! is finally here! Millions of us will fill the theaters tonight to see New Moon for the first time. I'm seeing Twilight at 9 to help pass the time and increase the excitement, if that is even possible. Kerry is bravely waiting to see it with her hubs. It's going to be rough around EoA until she has seen it. Good thing I know how to keep my mouth shut! LOL

We want to know what you're doing today? What are your plans for seeing the movie? Are you taking in the double feature like me? Watching it first thing in the morning in an attempt to avoid Squeemaggedon? Waiting until tomorrow night or Saturday? We can't wait to hear how you are all celebrating New Moon!

I'll go first...I started off my day with this...

**Major Spoiler Warning Here Ladies! There is a clip in the very beginning and some behind the scenes stuff peppered all through the interview. I managed to avoid the clip...and I'm looking forward to getting to actually watch the whole interview when I get home tonight! (I just got to listen to parts of it because I'm holding true to my pact with @AmberRMW and @AccentOnLife)

I will run around like a chicken with my head cut off for most of the day, then heading over to T's for the party/dinner. We are heading to the theater at 6:30...yes, really. There are about 12 of us going together. We're taking New Moon trivia with us to help pass the time while we wait for Twilight to start.
I'm seeing it again tomorrow with my mom and 3 of the girlies from tonight. We'll follow up with dinner to squee, sorry, I mean to chat about the film. On Saturday, the hubs and I are going to see it together. I feel so bad for him having to wait until then, but I'm so glad he's willing to hold down the fort at home while I run around like I have no responsibilities for a couple of days!

So now it's your turn to let us know what you're up to today!

Here's a reminder of all the cast appearances going on today and tomorrow!
Rob Pattinson on The Today Show
Rob Pattinson on Regis and Kelly
E! Special on the Secrets of Twilight 10:30pm eastern on E!
Taylor Lautner on Jimmy Fallon
Dakota Fanning on The Jay Leno Show

Thanks to ROBsessed and Thinking of Rob for the clips!

***I apologize for the lack of laptop isn't accessible at the moment. Kerry will fix it when she gets up! (Darn west coastie!)

Kellan on The Ellen Show

See? We're Not All 12 Year Olds

I won't bore you all with my "Most Twilighters AREN'T Tweenagers" rant again. You know it, I know it. And finally, the rest of the world is starting to figure it out. Promo, a marketing website and blog, noted the number of companies jumping on the New Moon bandwagon. Some do target the teen market, like Burger King and Nordstrom, and Hot Topic (Not that we adults have avoided those, right?) But Volvo also has joined the fun, and they are definitely not targeting the weekly allowance set.

From the article:

“From pre-teens to 50-, 60-year-olds, women are in love with this series,” she said. “We’ve targeted our media buy in this campaign to appeal mainly to women 18-54. The movie has given us a chance to expose our brand to a much larger audience, and to get people to think differently about the brand.”

Volvo’s XC60 was also featured briefly in the first “Twilight” movie released a year ago—also driven by the Edward character—but the auto maker did no marketing against the product appearance. Nevertheless, Gangeri said, the company saw a spike in traffic both to its Web site and to dealerships shortly after the debut, and again after the movie came out on DVD earlier this year.

That unsolicited interest convinced Volvo to sign a product placement deal with Summit entertainment, the production and distribution studio behind the “Twilight Saga” series, for both this current release and the third installment in the series, ‘Twilight: Eclipse”, due in 2010.

More Access Hollywood Videos from the Red Carpet

Here's a few more moments with Dakota Fanning, Queen Stephenie, and the lovely Facinelli's. Dakota is so mature, it's hard to believe she's only 16, she handles the questions about her part in The Runaways with so much professionalism. Stephenie Meyer answers questions about future projects, her experience on Oprah, and how she felt when the Wolfpack Boys had to shoot their scenes half-naked in the rain. Peter Facinelli and Jennie Garth are adorable and funny as always, and prove they are parents of daughters by re-enacting New Moon with the Bella, Edward and Jacob dolls.

Nikki Reed Interviewed By Vanity Fair

I know, tear your eyes away from the outtakes. I love getting interviews from Nikki, we don't get to hear from her enough. She has such a passion for making movies and telling stories, and I think that gets lost in the Rosalie association. You can read the full interview here.

Do you or the Cullen actors have a ritual or anything you do to prepare or rev you up before shooting a scene?

We don’t really have a "getting into character ritual,” unless you count constant joking around and chaos.

Rosalie's part continues to grow with each film. What scenes—out of the three films thus far—have been your favorites to shoot and why?

I just wrapped Eclipse yesterday and the last scene we shot is probably my favorite thus far. I finally got to tell my story, in a very gentle yet elaborate way.

How has Twilight affected your career?

It's introduced me to a different audience, more criticism, and taught me to laugh a lot more.

I think she's got a great attitude, and outlook, it has to be tough to read the criticism, and I think she gets some unjustified hate sometimes. Great job, Nikki!!

Stephenie Meyer Answers Fan Questions

This was posted on Stephenie Meyers official site, from They received 2000 questions from fans and Stephenie graciously answered some of them. Questions ranged from her favorite parts of writing, the love triangle, the movie experience, and Midnight Sun.

Here are a few of my favorites, you can find the rest here.

In staying true to the novel, I'd like to know if there were any scenes missing from the original screenplay that you insisted be in the movie?? Thank you SOOO much!!!! -Trinity in Fort Worth

Sort of. In the original screenplay, Jacob's visit to Bella's room that one night didn't exist. The necessary information was still there, it was just scattered through a few other scenes. I really missed that scene, but change (and cutting!) is a part of the adaptation process—especially when you write really long books—so I was prepared to suck it up. And then Chris Weitz felt like we needed that scene, too, and he wrote up a beautiful version I love. And we all lived happily ever after.

Out of the entire series, to you what is the most romantic moment between Bella and Edward? Why? - twilight-fan

For me, it's always been the last two pages of Breaking Dawn. It's the culmination of so much that's happened between them, and such a happy, satisfying moment for me.

My question for you is.... are you at all surprised by the variety in age of your readers? I am 32 years old and absolutely loved your books, and I know I am not alone, in many discussion groups I have found there are 30, 40, even 50 somethings reading twilight. Thanks and keep writing! - Amy B.

Because I wrote Twilight for my twenty-nine-year-old self and not for a future YA audience, it always made sense to me that women my age would get it the same way I did. Are you ever too old to remember falling in love for the first time?

Thank you Stephenie!!!

Vanity Fair Outtakes Part 3

In case you didn't get enough pretty last night at the premiere, the third installment of outtakes from the Bruce Weber Vanity Fair shoot has arrived.

Rob's new role: Napoleon

*This comment has been removed for ratings*

*This one too*

Whatcha got in that pocket, Rob?

Love these mirror pics.

How many of those did they let you drink, Rob?

Oh now he's having fun!

He's never actually reading the book, is he?

What, didn't Summit send a car?

The New Moon, "Edward in the Sunlight" workout?

This is about half the gorgeous pictures released today. You can view the rest here. Maybe not my favorite batch, but I'm certainly not complaining!

*Amber's note - I agree, although there is another one in there of him with the piano...that's always win with me! And please people, we were joking about the Napoleon thing because of the recurring pose...I don't want to see us being quoted on Gossip Cop!*

Twi-Theories Tuesdays: Oh Edward...

Warning, this post may contain book spoilers from all 4 Twilight Saga novels, as well as Midnight Sun, and official extras from Stephenie Meyer. There are also images from the New Moon movie.

This is the last Tuesday before New Moon officially opens, so I wanted to devote today's Twi-Theory to Edward. We discussed Jacob at the beginning of this new EoA tradition, and I hope you'll read it again before going to the movie.

I was going to talk about what Edward was up to all those months he was gone. It is somewhat obvious, he does tell Bella that he spent the better part of the time trying to track Victoria in an effort to continue to protect Bella. He also references periods of time spent literally doing nothing, possibly Edward's version of those heartbreaking month-by-month pages.

His intentions in leaving were to protect Bella. Regardless of both of their feelings, he truly believed she was in constant mortal danger, as long as she was with him. And that is probably true. There is danger from Edward alone, and then the incident with James. I would imagine that Jasper's breakdown really drove it home though. These were people who cared about her, and there was trouble. He could read the minds of every single member of his family, and he watched them each struggle to be in the room with a bleeding Bella, except for Carlisle.

I do not believe that he ever intended to 'let go' of Bella himself. When he surfaced from his own initial despair, he channeled it into finding Victoria. I believe a part was to truly protect Bella, and I believe it was his way of staying connected.

We learn that Edward is apparently not as "good at everything" as we thought. (Don't worry, I'm sure he's still good at the things we want him to be good at!) His tracking endeavors were not successful. He spent a lot of time in the south, he says, and apparently that was accurate, since we discover in Eclipse that Victoria learned about the newborn armies there. So, maybe his timing was just off, and was several months behind her, instead of a few days or weeks. But then there was a wild goose chase to South America.

My biggest question: Where did Edward pick up Victoria's trail? I'm far from being described as "outdoorsy", much less being skilled in tracking, but it's my understanding that you need a source point; someplace you know the person has been, and then follow the scent, tracks, hair, bent leaves, whatever, from there.

So, where did Edward start? Best I can figure, he has two options, either Denali or Forks. Denali would mean that he must have been there at some point after Victoria came to Laurent to ask for his help in getting to Bella. Maybe he went there to visit, or was dragged there by Carlisle and Esme, and learned that they had been there and left, thus spurring him to try to track her from there. Very plausible I think.

Second is Forks. Let's imagine him holed up in his room in the new residence in upstate New York, curled in a ball and ignoring the world (sad..don't dwell there too long) Suddenly, he remembers there is still something he can do for Bella, maybe give just a little more meaning to his meaningless existence. But where to start? If he doesn't know that Victoria was in Denali, then would he head back to Forks? Or at least to the general area?

However, the last Edward knows of Victoria being in Forks is the previous spring. that's a pretty old trail to follow. If he had discovered she was there more recently, would he have chased her? Also, plausible. The alternative would have been to stay put and stand guard, risking missing her entirely if she slipped around him. He also would have undoubtedly run into the wolves at some point. Also, being that close to Bella for an extended period of time, sooner or later he would have found himself checking on her.

So, at this point, I'm leaning towards Denali. I don't think Edward would have risked getting that close to Forks again so soon, even though he was seriously considering returning when he received Rosalie's fateful call.

In the end, of course, they are reunited, much to most of our relief. I cry nearly as hard at their reunion as I do at their break up. Remind me to bring tissues to the theater.

Tell me your thoughts in the comments. Where do you think Edward found the trail? How do you imagine his time away from Bella?

Remember that you can always check out all the Twi-Theories Tuesdays by clicking on the icon in the right sidebar.

A Bit More From the Red Carpet

Just had to post the Access Hollywood interviews. They always crack me up. The reactions to the merchandise are always the best.

I still can't get over how amazing everyone looked last night. The step up from the Twilight premiere is so noticeable! This was definitely an event designers wanted their stuff seen at!

Rob talks to Glamour UK

Glamour UK brought us that incredibly lovely interview with the cast, not to mention the snuggly pics of Jackson and Ashley. Now they've brought us an interview with Rob. Thanks to ROBsessed for the excerpts below.
Did you fall back easily into the role of Edward?
I had to work a bit. I went out to Vancouver about a month before we started shooting and tried to get back into the mindset. But I was always really excited about shooting this one because I thought it was the most interesting story and when I read the script it was a really interesting adaptation. I always knew how to do it, my bit, in this one so I wasn’t really worried.
What aspect of Edward do you wish you possessed?
I think his ability to stay silent. I’m really bad at that. He’s very comfortable not saying anything and I always feel like I have to say everything, anything, all the time.

Were you worried about taking your shirt off after seeing Taylor’s new physique?
Definitely, yeah. I was really, really worried. I mean I only saw him for the first time in a long time when he was all ready to go for the film so I was feeling very inadequate and emasculated. I did feel a little inadequate but it did make me go to the gym so there was some good in it.

We know that you’ve had to spend a lot of time in hotel rooms because of fans. What do you do to pass the time?
I mean I’m never in them for long enough. Today was going to be the longest I was going to spend inside my room for a long time and the fire alarm went off which annoyed me so much but [i do] nothing particularly exciting. I bring my guitar around to various places and sometimes play but that’s about it. Nothing out of the ordinary.

What would you think of Edward if you met him in real life?
I think he looks a bit weird – like why are you wearing all of that make-up? I think I would probably find him quite interesting. He’s quite old and stuff.
"He's quite old and stuff." How can you not love Rob??? LOL

You can watch the interview here. But if you're avoiding trailers and clips, be warned, there are several interlaced with the interview.

EoA Red Carpet Review

Wow. That pretty much sums up the Red Carpet for me. The crowd, the stars, an amazing experience, and that's just me, sitting here at home, watching a live stream that would quit about every 20 minutes. I can't even imagine what it was like to actually be in that HUGE crowd massed outside the theater!

The biggest thing I noticed, was how much better both Kristen and Rob managed the red carpet. From the clothes to the interview, to the interacting with the crowd, so much more polish and calm. Awwww!!

Super huge props to Courtney, the fan correspondent who won the opportunity to work the red carpet. It's not an easy job to do as a professional, but despite the speechless moments, she did a great job, and I'm so impressed by her coherent non-fangirl self (at least on the outside) when face-to-face with Rob. Kudos, too, to Kristen Stewart for taking the time to take a picture with Courtney, even though the folks running the show tried to tell her she couldn't. Don't mess with KStew!!

Edit: Here is a video, thanks to ROBsessed of Courtney's interview with Rob.

Of course, everyone looked fabulous, such a glamorous event. I heard one correspondent say that between the level of fashion, and the crowd, this felt more like an awards show, rather than a movie premiere. The Twilight Saga is where it's at folks!

Take a look at some of the cast in attendance tonight!

Oh Rob...

Kristen rocking the sheer again. Love this! Feminine and Kstew-edgy.

When does Taylor NOT look fantastic in a suit!

Love the leather, Gil. That's You! Down with the kids!

Alex, Alex, Alex. Naughty boy. You can't sway me. Nope. Really. Right?

Dakota is adorable. Best part? Stylish, elegant and age appropriate.

I'm incredibly jealous of ability to wear something this form fitting. Hot Mama Elisabeth!

Had to show a pic of Kellan with the fans. And the suit isn't bad either.

Peter and Jennie, Hollywood's cutest couple.

Nikki. Not sure how I feel about your dress yet, honestly, but your legs are so amazing I don't even care.

Ashley made my husband's night. The amazing red dress? Yeah. Dead Hubby.

So many fans hoping to see Jackson, we just never get enough air time. We want to see more of those gorgeous eyes, and that smile!

Charlie. More leather. Might be more handsome than Gil. Shhhh.

Stephenie!! My jury is out on the dress, again, but her hair was amazing!!!!

Michael Sheen brought his daughter as his date. Oodles of cool points for that.

How dapper is Edi, with the piping and the tie and the spiffy shirt?

There is so much. The live feed is rebroadcasting the event, so be sure to watch if you missed it, and catch interviews with most of the cast.

Have a good night!

For Sale: The Cullen House

That's right! Want the Cullen's huge mansion? We got a tip from TMZ.

Yeah, before you cry because of that, it's legit. Except that TMZ must have been absent on geography day. Their article says the house is in Toronto. Luckily, Twi-hards know better. (Editing for the win: it is now corrected on their site.)

The owner of the West Vancouver mansion is putting the famous house up for sale. The 5-bedroom, 4 bath, 5,000 square foot estate sits on 1/2 acre of creekside property. And it can be all yours for the bargain price of 3.3 million dollars!
