Ashley Greene at #32. Out of 50? My hubby would beg to differ. But there's no denying our Alice-girl is amazingly gorgeous. From Empire: "Ashley Greene is a grade-A, 100 per cent stunner. Just look at her eyes, her beautiful, beautiful eyes. Most alluring as... Prescient vampire chick, Alice Cullen."
Kristen Stewart at #7. Now we're talking. I love Kristen because she doesn't feel the need to put on a show when she goes out. She's often mocked for how she looks in public, but there's no denying that when she's aiming for stunning she hits it with staggering success. From Empire: "Stewart still places high on the list because a) she's staggeringly beautiful and b) her don't-give-a-[beep] attitude is sublimely sexy.....Most alluring as... Em Lewin in Adventureland - sparky, human, and plenty sexy,"
Kellan Lutz at #36. There's some seriously tough competition on the men's list, but I'm still not sure they hit the mark at all. From Empire: "Most alluring as... He may be man of few words, but he's in Twilight, what more do you need? Off the silver screen he does seem to have attracted a large female fanbase who squeal uncontrollably with delight so he's doing something right."
Taylor Lautner at #35. We know all our Twi-Guys rank higher than the 30's, but we'll allow for this one since Taylor is still a minor. From Empire: "Most alluring as... Jake-abs. Specifically, whenever he's topless in Twilight. So for the most part, whenever he's in New Moon then. " Ha! 'Jake-abs'. 30 pounds, people!
Robert Pattinson at #2. TWO?!?! They obviously hadn't seen this picture.
But, since number one is Johnny Depp, I might make an allowance, Johnny's been hot for a while now, and Rob's still the young upstart. I won't rant again, but Empire seems to still be under the misapprehension that Rob is only adored by the adolescent set. Think again, folks. From Empire: "Most alluring as... Gotta be Edward Cullen, with all that restrained passion and the penchant for melting glances. "

Buy Limited Edition New Moon gift cards. Good for any movie, anytime on Fandango!I feel very certain I will not be the only person ordering one (of each) of these! The link is on the sidebar under the countdown banner as well.
In honor of the New Moon Soundtrack (early!) release today, I thought I'd bring you an assortment of Twilight inspired music. Various groups, either formed to sing Twi-music, or bands inspired to write something related to the series.
You've heard of the Mitch Hansen Band, I'm sure. Stephenie Meyers herself is a fan. I had heard their hilarious song Jacob Black, but until recently, hadn't heard any others. Here is "Lullaby", not their interpretation of Edward's creation, but just a song about his feelings as he was writing Bella's Lullaby.
Be sure to listen to the rest of their songs here.
Take a listen to the Twilight Music Girls, I've chosen "The Lion and The Lamb" to share with you, it's amazingly beautiful, both the music and the voice.
Take a listen to Kathleen Colton May, I don't have a youtube video for you, but there are several pieces, mostly instrumental. My personal favorite is "The Hunt".
Newly recommended to me is The Bleeding Forks. Amy Murphy, from Creation Entertainment (the folks bringing us the Twilight Conventions) brought them to our attention recently. The Bleeding Forks write songs inspired by the characters of Twilight themselves.
Do you have any Twilight inspired music? And have you picked up your copy
of the New Moon Soundtrack yet? Leave a comment and tell me what you think!

Click here to read their post and enter the contest. Congratulations, PLT!!
This month, Vanity Fair's "Twilight Watch" is featuring Ashley Greene. Here's a snippet of the interview:
You can read the rest of the interview here.
What’s it like working with different directors on the same character?
At first, it’s a little difficult; it’s a lot of give and take. Everyone’s different and has their own take on it, but it’s been pretty good. You have to sit down and go, “This is what I’ve been doing, this is why I feel this way,” and you have to take suggestions. Basically, it’s about communication, and it hasn’t been a problem yet.
Your role as Alice Cullen becomes more significant as the series continues. What was your experience filming New Moon?
It was incredible, and I think the timing was right. I’m glad that [my role] wasn’t that big in the first one because I was wide-eyed and nervous. By the second one, I had the time to fully develop this character, and I’m really comfortable with Alice Cullen now. It’s going to be sad to be done with it. I was really excited when I read the script because I had, of course, read the book and you never know how they’re going to translate it, how it’s going to read, and filming it was great. Chris [Weitz, the director] was awesome.
Thanks to the Lexicon!

Several Twilight fan-sites have some great tips, ideas and even contests for a Twilight-themed Halloween.
Novel Novice Twilight has a great guide to costumes, decorations, treats and tricks. Don't miss their 2009 Twilight Saga Halloween Costume Guide, especially. These tips could come in extra handy over at His Golden Eyes' costume contest.
If pumpkin carving is your thing, carve yourself a Twilight-themed jack-o-lantern and enter the Twilight Lexicon's pumpkin carving contest. They have some great links for patterns and tips, too. If you plan to carve Rob "I can even make a squash look hot" Pattinson's image, enter it over at MTV's Hollywood Crush contest.
The folks at Twilighters Italia were in attendance and have been writing their account of the events. Alex Meraz, Daniel Cudmore, Christian Serratos, and Edi Gathegi were the special guests, answering questions and signing autographs.
You can read their full account here, with even more updates and transcripts coming soon!
There's more news and fun stuff coming, but, since it's Wednesday, it's time to review the Twi-News of the week and see What We Missed.
Twilight MUST Win

Speaking of Soundtracks
There was an update on Stephenie Meyer's website today:
"I received the following message from Atlantic Records today: Due to overwhelming and unprecedented demand, Chop Shop/Atlantic Records have announced a new release date for THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK. By far the most anticipated soundtrack of the year, the compilation will now be released this Friday, October 16th, four days earlier than originally scheduled! If you have pre-ordered the album, you can expect it to arrive on that date or shortly afterwards. In addition, we would like to exclusively announce that in the physical CDs, the booklet folds out into a poster! The image is below. (Kerry: Or to the right.) Make sure to head out on Friday to get your copy of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON Soundtrack!"
LOVE that pic, so pre-ordering my copy now! You can listen to the soundtrack first at the Official Twilight Saga Myspace.
David Slade has been, as usual, great at keeping us updated on the progress of Eclipse. They're in the final weeks of principal photography, wrapping a full week of night shoots last week. I don't live all that far from Vancouver and it's been cold and wet here at night, I can't imagine it's been pleasant. Makes me appreciate the movies even more!
Latest update was this:
Possibly the Bella/Jacob kiss? Hmmm, we'll have to see.
Since It's My Favorite Photoshoot
More outtakes from the Vanity Fair shoot were released. They cause a bit of an uproar on Twitter, but let's remember...it's a photoshoot. And I think they're absolutely adorable.
My two favorites:
Check Robsessed for more.
Amber Is a Busy Woman
How she does it all, I have no idea. Amber is my hero when it comes to taking on writing projects, even if she does cheat on Edward in the process.
Check out her t5m column, she's starting a fun series on Real Men Who Love Twilight. Being married to my own personal unicorn, this is a subject near and dear to my heart. This week's unicorn is @TheShagDaddy, Mr. @AmberRMW, from RobMyWorld, Follow them both on Twitter, definitely some of my favorite Twitter personalities.
And, of course, she dallies with the other vampires in her life, the Salvatore boys. Check out her column again there, she does a great job, and I know she has a good list of new articles coming. Character and actor profiles, observations on the series, and interesting news.
I have a long list of NEW material to post, too, so I think we'll call this the Best of the Wrap-Up.
Included in the Kit are some great decoration ideas, as well as crafts. Twilight-themed patterns are provided for various project ideas. She even has some suggestions for costume or theme competitions. And the best prop ideas ever, like these beverage labels.
But that's not the best part. What's a theme party without games? RaShell has created 5 games, complete with printable materials, sure to bring laughs and a little Twilight bonding. From the new fan, to the most devoted, I believe all would be able to participate and enjoy.
You can purchase RaShell's New Moon Party Planning Kit at her Etsy shop. Take a moment to peruse her other creative endeavors also available there, as well.
Have fun and enjoy your party!
You can see here why we might be partial to the invitations. :)

What’s the main difference between you and Jacob?
Well I can’t jump 10 ft high and transform into a werewolf. I’ve tried, it just doesn’t work.
What’s are the similarities you have with Jacob?
I’d like to think we both have a very friendly side. If you ask anyone who knows me, they’ll tell you I’m just like Jake before he becomes a werewolf. And he’s a goofball! Well, not really, he just can’t deal with many issues. He’s very emotional when he transforms into a wolf.
Jacob has a hard time in New Moon, he turns into a werewolf, he falls in love with a girl who loves someone else. Was it complicated for you? It’s easy to get caught up under this character and feel that I’m literally Jacob Black, especially when you get to work with Kristen. In fact, sometimes it's not very easy to let go. We have a scene which is very intense, she fights with Jacob and tells him she’s going to Italy to find Edward. Obviously, after filming that I wasn’t the happiest person.
Taking the Backseat in New Moon "It's just so nice being in a supporting role. There was so much pressure on Taylor for this one, and it's like, he didn't have a single bad day the entire shoot. I just stroll onto set, I'm like, 'Oh, I've got one line!'"
His Take on Edward "I kind of just tried to make him a little bit more aware of the irony of the situation…a 109-year-old who's in love with a 17-year-old who he's pretending to go to school with."
Tabloid Marriage & The Kristen Pregnancy Rumors "Literally, that would be terrifying if I suddenly — well, actually, it wouldn't be terrifying, it would be quite satisfying, actually, to be able to get someone pregnant from across the country. With a text message!"
Thanks to Twilight Poison and Robsessed for the translations.
More to be seen at Breaking-Dawn.fr, too.
Dear Rob, If we ever meet in person, and you look at me like this, please do not expect coherency. Thanks. Love, Me
Oh Kellen, you and your dimply, blue-eyed sweetness.
More pics here.
And the abs aren't bad either.
I have a bone to pick with the fine people who run GQ.
I am not a 15 year old girl, nor am I the mother of one. And I'm not the only one in my demographic. Someday, someday, someday, I hope the rest of the world will catch up with Twi-fans and admit we're not all crazed teenaged girls.
"Chances are you never saw Twilight, because chances are you're not a 15-year-old girl (or her mom). But here's the thing about the blockbuster and its sequel, New Moon—and for that matter, all the yet-to-come films in the teen-vampire series: They feature Taylor Lautner, a 17-year-old kid who is one of the luckiest actors in Hollywood..."
Now I'll let you look at these amazing pics..
Thanks to TwiCrackAddict.
I know I've enjoyed the little previews, I can't wait to hear the whole thing.
Also, Summit announced the cover for the Official Score CD, available November 24th. I listen to my Twilight Score almost as much as I do the Twilight Soundtrack, so I'm really looking forward to this.
I might have had the chance to hear The Meadow, today, also, and it very well might be closer to my imaginings of Bella's Lullaby than the one written for the Twilight Soundtrack, although I really enjoy that piece as well.
Thanks to newmoonmovie for the images.
Early on in my Twilight Obsession, I was surfing the interwebs for fun Twi-gear, and came across the Twilight section of Cafepress. I giggled over all the slogans and pictures, but one nearly broke me. I looked for it again, but couldn't find it. It basically said:
"I skipped pages 71-381 of New Moon!"
After I picked myself up off the floor from laughing so hard, I started thinking. I was devastated when Edward left Bella. I knew practically nothing about the storyline before I read the book, so I was as blindsided as Bella was. I knew he'd be back, since there were two more books to read, so I endured with Bella. There were times, not so much in New Moon, but Eclipse where Jacob really annoyed the snot out of me. I laughed at the slogan because I understood the desire to just get past all that Jacobness and get back to swoony Edward.
Then I read the series a second time, and Jacob really jumped out at me, and I got a better idea of his purpose in the story. I'm still firmly Team Edward, but, like Bella, I have a special spot in my heart for Jacob, and am grateful for his presence. I see his contribution largely in two categories:
1. Jacob strengthens Bella and Edward's relationship.
Twilight is about first love, that warm fuzzy, life-in-a-bubble, all-consuming feeling. It's one of the greatest feelings in the world. Jacob provides them, particularly Bella, the chance to choose to be with each other. As wonderful as the 'falling in love' phase of a relationship is, ultimately the choice is what brings the power to weather all the highs and lows of life together. And with Bella and Edward facing, literally, eternity together, that's a lot of highs and lows. Jacob provided Bella the opportunity to look at her relationship with the eyes of an adult making a life choice, not a love-struck teenage girl at the mercy of her hormones and a crush.
2. Jacob helps us get to know Edward
Let's assume you've never read "Midnight Sun". Without that peek, you don't get much opportunity to really get to know Edward in the story. You see his personality, of course, and you get to share the personal moments with Bella, but Bella's view of Edward is a bit skewed. She's dazzled by him, in love and sees him in the best possible light, and he's very good at hiding some of the thoughts and emotions he struggles with from her.
Through Jacob, especially in the "Tent Scene" in Eclipse, and the entire Jacob POV section of Breaking Dawn, you get a unique insight into Edward's mind. Jacob doesn't want to like him, Edward is his enemy, on a number of levels. Yet, he can't help build a grudging respect for him, as he sees the 'real' Edward, all the heartache, and the depth of his love for Bella, and the lengths he is willing to go to keep her safe. It was the section of Breaking Dawn, that I felt we finally really got to know Edward, and made going back and reading it again a whole different experience for me, being able to apply that to the early parts of the story.
I'm interested in what the rest of you think about Jacob. Where do you see his contributions to the story? I invite you to leave a comment and let me know. As this series of discussions continues, I'd love to have input from our readers. After all, we're all discussing our favorite books here, right?
*A note from Amber...I've long said that while I'm a staunchly Team Edward girl, like Kerry and Bella, I dearly love Jacob as well. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on Jacob. I'm behind the New Moon reading schedule at The Danger Magnet, and I'm going to say something I never thought I'd say. After reading Kerry's post, I'm kind of anxious to get to the part of New Moon when Edward leaves... (I mean, we know he's going to come back, let's enjoy Jacob's time while it lasts)
"The cast was staying at our hotel - we saw them everywhere and hung out all the time. They're actually really nice people."Read more of what Paul has to say about Twilight in my latest Vampire Diaries Examiner article, as well as the link to the Teen Vogue article.
