Kristen Stewart Photoshoot, All Eyes and Hair, And Gorgeous

These amazingly gorgeous pictures are from Kristen's Allure Magazine photo shoot and cover. I love her eyes. And the HAIR. I miss the hair.

See more over at TwiCrackAddict.

Wednesday Wrap-Up

Wednesday, Wednesday, Wednesday. This week is already going by so fast. Everything from Real Life to Twi-Life is busy, busy, busy.

Apparently, I'm into threes today.

As always, there's News We Missed, so let's take a look.

Get Ready To Scream

Spike TV's Scream Awards are approaching, filming on October 17, and airing on October 27. I've never watched this awards show, and I don't know if it's a big deal or not, but, of course, we're going for Twilight sweeping every award show possible. Not surprisingly, Twilight and the cast are nominated for the following categories:

  • The Ultimate Scream – Twilight
  • Best Fantasy Film – Twilight
  • Best Fantasy Actress – Kristen Stewart, Twilight
  • Best Fantasy Actor – Robert Pattinson, Twilight
  • Best Supporting Actress – Ashley Greene, Twilight
  • Best Breakout Performance – Taylor Lautner, Twilight
  • Robert Pattinson, Twilight
  • Best Ensemble – Twilight
  • Scream Song of the Year – “Decode” by Paramore, Twilight
  • Best Villain – Cam Gigandet as James
You can still vote here.

As a bonus, Spike TV just announced:

“SCREAM 2009” will celebrate the year of the vampire and the phenomenal popularity of the “Twilight” saga with cast and World Premiere footage from the highly-anticipated “New Moon.”

No news yet as to which cast members will be in attendance, but, of course, we'll let you know when we find out.

Even Your Pumpkins Can Be Sexy Now

Want to have the hottest jack-o-lanterns ever? They may not, be scary but they're bound to be popular. Now your front porch can be Twilighted-up, with these pumpkin carving kits. Now those glowing amber eyes can be staring through YOUR window. Check them out here, here and here!

We Can't All Get in to KStew's Skinny Jeans

We've mentioned Torrid before, as a source for good Twi-gear. They've come through again for those of us with a few more curves than the Hot Topic target market. Plus-sized Twilight t-shirts, as well as Bella's party dress and jacket are available now.

Thank you Torrid!

More Teasing from Mr. Slade

David Slade tweeted this pic earlier this week, simply titled "Meadow". Those flowers are gorgeous, and so romantic. I'm going to go crazy counting down for Eclipse before New Moon even gets here!

Taylor is Half-Naked Again

Does it bother you? Right, that's what I thought. One more new still from the New Moon set. Close your eyes, Amber!

Two Hours of Bliss

Cineplex.com's New Moon listing is showing the run-time as 2 hours, 2 minutes. That's two hours of angsty missing Edward, crying with Bella, ogling the wolf-pack and swooning over the..uh..Italian scenery.

Dear Summit, I'm not complaining. At. All. But we're addicts, so you can always feel free to give us more. Also, I'm greedy. Love, Kerry.

As Tempting as Stefan and Damon Might Be...

I'll still take Edward. No little weed can stop him! See what the truth behind the little plant that can bring the Vamp Diaries boys to their knees at Amber's Vampire Diaries Examiner page.

That's all for this week, take care all. Thanks to Twicrack, Newmoonmovie, and Robsessed for images and news!

Preparing For The Movie: The Danger Magnet's New Moon Discussion

The infinitely awesome Ana Christina at The Danger Magnet is hosting a recap and discussion of New Moon on her blog. This is a chapter-by-chapter look at the events in the book. Several other notables in the Twi-bloggy community will also be contributing to the project. Read TDM's site for all the details, especially about how this is a BOOK discussion, not the movie. No movie spoilers will be given as a part of this discussion.

Here is the schedule of posts:

Thursday, September 24 (Chapters 1, 2, 3) –> Ana Cristina

Thursday, October 1 (Chapters 4, 5, 6) –> Cutie

Thursday, October 8 (Chapters 7, 8, 9) > sjAimee

Thursday, October 15 (Chapters 10, 11, 12) –> Ang (Amcas)

Thursday, October 22 (Chapters 13, 14, 15) –> Fire Crotch

Thursday, October 29 (Chapters 16, 17, 18) –> Fragile Human

Thursday, November 5 (Chapters 19, 20, 21) –> One Pushy Fox

Thursday, November 12 (Chapters 22, 23, 24) –> Cutie, Marie, & KG

Thursday, November 19 (Epilogue) –> Ana Cristina

I've read the first two, so far, in addition to rereading New Moon in preparation for the movie. I'm really enjoying the discussion, and it's inspiring some themes I'd like to discuss here. Stay tuned for that as well.

Blogging for a Cause: World Habitat Day

One of the best things about running your own blog is the ability to post whatever you want. Today Kerry and I want to present a special cause to our readers. One of our twitter buddies, Loren aka @PokerStarlight passed along some wonderful information to share with you guys today for World Habitat Day 2009. Here is a message from Loren.

In observance of World Habitat Day 2009, I’d like to draw your attention to Habitat for Humanity of the Mississippi Gulf Coast (HFHMGC), located in Biloxi, MS. Along with New Orleans and coastal Alabama and parts of the Florida panhandle, the Mississippi Gulf Coast was devastated by Hurricane Katrina more than 4 years ago, and is still working diligently to try and rebuild the area in general, and more specifically the homes that were lost for families that are still in need. We’re rebuilding on the coast every day, but we can’t do it without YOU!

HFHMGC builds on a weekly basis and has week-long volunteer opportunities available in addition to daily opportunities. You can check out their official website at http://www.hfhmgc.org. Affordable lodging & meals for the week is available for those from out-of-state!

The intention of this message is to raise awareness that rebuilding is still being done, and volunteers are still desperately needed! Many expenses while volunteering (often including airfare, mileage, food/lodging, etc.) are all tax deductible. HFHMGC accepts any volunteers who are 16 and older (though minors do require that an adult accompany them on the trip). Please see the official website for details.

Please check out the official website at http://www.hfhmgc.org, or email the Volunteer Coordinator at volunteer@hfhmgc.org. Your assistance is vital and appreciated!

*This is not an official post by any member of HFHMGC or its associates. This is a personal message.*

Just wanted to reiterate how important this is. Anyone over 16 can volunteer. There is still such a need an it's so easy to forget that. Those of us not directly affected by these storms have moved on, but many have not yet been able to. Let's do what we can to help them out, even if it's just spreading the word with this post. We're Twilight fans, we are a powerful force to be reckoned with, just ask Chris Weitz...LOL. Let's make something good happen for someone else.

A Peek at the New Moon Soundtrack

One of the bands on the New Moon soundtrack, Ok Go, spoke with Buzznet about their song, "Shooting the Moon". Click the link for the full interview.

Buzznet: What is the inspiration behind "Shooting The Moon" on the New Moon soundtrack?

Damian: The song is about an astronaut involved in a conspiracy. I am not personally a doubter re: the US moon landing, but the story fascinates me. The story, that is, that would be, were the conspiracy theory true. One of the most iconic heros of all time would have to live with the guilt. He'd have to keep such a heavy, terrible secret: that this huge historical watershed was a cynical lie. As the basis of a song, it let me get at a feeling that I otherwise have a hard time describing, the feeling of dread and conviction at the same time. Of wanting to say it's going to be OK, when in fact it probably isn't. It's a feeling I have a lot. The hero knows the only way to make things better in the long run is to unleash this awful truth which is going to break everyone's heart.

Buzznet: Did you create this song with the intention of having it on the New Moon soundtrack? Was "Shooting The Moon" recorded at the same time that you recorded your songs on your upcoming album?

Damian: It was recorded along with the songs on our new album, but it was a perfect fit for New Moon. Our record's already nearly an hour long, so we could afford it let this one go on to greener pastures. Which is no euphemism. The song is in such great company on this soundtrack that it's probably happier in its new home.

Grizzly Bear, another of the bands featured on the soundtrack, has worked it's contribution into their set list while they are on tour. Here is "Slow Life":

Alex Meraz Tries A Different Set of Fangs

Since there isn't enough reality television programs out there, MTV is starting a new one called "Styl'd". In this series, aspiring stylists will compete for a contract with a well-known Los Angeles agency. In one of the challenges, the stylists brought Alex Meraz to a cemetery in Glendale, CA and shot this series of vampirey photos.

Did they read the book?

Regardless, Alex looks as amazing as ever...

Emily's Scars: Chris Weitz Raided My Brain Again

Team Twilight had this picture today. This is Tinsel Korey done up in her Emily make up, complete with scars. I am amazed and pleased to say that this is nearly exactly how I pictured them.

Joy Magazine: Interview with Rob Pattinson

Isn't any magazine with Rob in it Joy?

Maybe, but this time it's literal. Joy Magazine, from Mexico, had this interview with Rob in their latest issue, complete with new pics! The great people over at Twilight Poison translated the article for us all to enjoy. Thank you so much! Check them out for the full article and all the scans, but here are a few of my favorite parts.

In Twilight we got to see some sexual tension between Bella and Edward. That’s something very enigmatic. Will that continue in the rest of the movies?

I don’t think there was sexual tension, nor do I think that that’s the focus of the movies. I don’t see it that way. I think it’s a stroy about what it means to commit to a feeling and to the person that you love. Above all, it’s about finding someone to love despite having to fight so many problems that might show up. What hooks you about the movie, I’m convinced about it, is that it talks about the fear of what can happen to you if you fall in love and give yourself away completely. Realising how far you can go for love, passion and being amazed by it. People identify with it more than you can imagine. To me it’s not even a story about vampires, but about feelings that we’ve all felt before. It talks about the fear of feeling those things. It’s a movie with so many meanings, that’s why I like it and I think that’s why people like it too.

Speaking of passion and music, we know you write songs. What can you share about it?

I’m trying to write some songs for the next movie. (Kerry: Squee?!?!) I don’t know if it will be possible because of my schedule, but I want to do it. Music is the other side of me, it’s one of the things that complete me and I wouldn’t want to leave it aside for anything in the world. I have the intention of evolving in that aspect. It’s something I want to develope just as much as acting. I want to have a balance between those two things.

We know you can’t say much about New Moon, but don’t leave before you tell us, did you have to go to some place dark to play this vampire again?

Yes, the truth is that the way I wanted to play Edward was less powerful. He’s a character that can’t change his condition, he didn’t choose his fate. He was unconscious when Carlisle turned him into a vampire. When he woke up, three days later, he realized that in order to survive he would have to kill people. Imagine what would you feel like if you knew you would never grow old and that you would live forever. And what’s worse, you didn’t look for it. You become a sort of Superman without even wanting to be that, you were just a 17 year old kid. You must feel a huge impotence and frustration. Instead of believing you’re hero, you’re a person who can’t find himself and doesn’t know who he is. Understanding that has been fundamental in understanding Edward. That very human side of him is what I love about him and I feel like I can relate to that. There’s something we all find hard to change and face about ourselves.

Darn you Rob, just when I think I couldn't love you more.

Fan-Made Friday

TGIF? Amen to that. To help ourselves pass the time until we can actually *really* call it the weekend, I thought I'd share some Twilight fan art pretties.

I was playing a bit at Twilight Guide this morning. They have a pretty good selection of fan-made wallpapers, graphics, icons and posters for everyone to enjoy. These are a few of my favorites.

The posters were by far my favorites. this one makes me so sad. I still can't read the beginning of New Moon without crying, and this poster brings that all back.

This one, too. For Bella..

I could see this being an official poster. The eyes!!!

Wolfpack, rawr! Don't make them upset!

Just some sigs/graphics/icons/whatever. Made me giggle a bit.

I love Harry Potter, but he's definitely not a Cullen.

Details..details..

Always good to know what exactly you want..

Check out all the graphics here!

A Special Message from Edward...

Edward would like to take the stage for a moment and respond to Damon's statement on tonight's Vampire Diaries episode that he is "whipped".

Keep up with Damon (and Stefan) over at Amber's Vampire Diaries Examiner page.

Thanks to Bella and Edward, here's the clip

Kristen Stewart Goes Dark and Dangerous for Interview Mag Shoot

These photographs..very different from the typical Twilight promo shots we get of Kristen, but I think that maybe she relishes the chance to break from the Bella-image. Paired with the pictures is an interesting interview conducted by none other than actor-director-writer-everything Dennis Hopper. I couldn't pass up the chance to post this.

Here's a little bit of the article:

In the last 12 months, Stewart has become a tabloid regular and a blog-stalked cynosure. The fact that her Twilight character is romantically linked to Pattinson’s in the film has also fueled nonstop speculation that they are involved in real life. BUYING A HOUSE? and GETTING MARRIED? were just a couple of the early autumn headlines. Between filming Twilight sequels, Stewart did a turn as Joan Jett in Floria Sigismondi’s new rock-band biopic The Runaways; even her hair for the film—which was chopped and dyed to mimic Jett’s late-’70s shag—inspired reams of media critique.

HOPPER: Does it bother you to see yourself in the tabloids?

STEWART: There’s nothing you can do about it, to be honest. I don’t leave my hotel room—literally, I don’t. I don’t talk to anybody about my personal life, and maybe that perpetuates it, too. But it’s really important to own what you want to own and keep it to yourself. That said, the only way for me not to have somebody know where I went the night before is if I didn’t go out at all. So that’s what I’m trading. It depends what mood I’m in. Some nights, I think, “You know what? I don’t care. I’m just going to do what I want to do.” Then the next day I think, “Ugh.Now everyone thinks I’m going out to get the attention.” But it’s like, no, I actually, for a second, thought that maybe I could be like a normal person.

And some of the pics:

Read the full article and see all the pics here. As a warning, Kristin is her blunt no-nonsense self, a bit of a language warning. Thanks to TwiCrack for spotting these!

Nordstrom's New Moon Line Launched Today

In last week's Wrap-Up, I mentioned that Nordstrom's would be featuring a New Moon line of merchandise. Today marks the official launch of all the products. There are actually a good number of neat items. I especially like some of the jewelry, they fit my requirements of 'subtle'.

Click the pic to go to the Nordstrom's site.

For the not-so-subtle, I'm wondering if I can get away with the Edward cut-out for my bedroom. My hubby won't mind, right?

Plus size Twilight and New Moon apparel is available from Torrid. In fact, they're currently having a Twilight clearance.

New Moon Illustrated Movie Companion

Make a point pick up New Moon: The Official Illustrated Movie Companion (Twilight Saga). You can order it from Amazon through the new Eyes of Amber Twilight store here, or check out the widget to the right. While I suspect I'll have this before New Moon comes out, I won't be opening it until I come home from seeing it the first time.

Thanks to ROBsessed for the tip.

Hot Topic debuts New Moon merchandise

October is here. We can actually say that New Moon comes out next month. How strange and wonderful does that sound? I already have tickets to the midnight showing. If you don't, check out the Fandango banner to the right. Although they're not out yet, Fandango will be offering New Moon gift cards like they did with Twilight. I am very excited to get my hands on those.

Of course another excitement of today is the debut of Hot Topic's line of New Moon merchandise. You can see it all by clicking on the picture or this link.

While there is SO much cool stuff there, these are the two items that I absolutely must have...

This puzzle to go with my cast and Edward puzzles from Twilight
And yes, I will be using this at soccer games...I am not a closeted fan
So go check it all out and let us know what your favorite items are! And remember...next month is New Moon!
