Birthday Wrap-Up & Contest Winners

The news I know you've all been waiting for...the announcement of the Celebrate My Birthday Contest! Thanks to everyone who entered. I wish I'd had more to give away and I plan to do some more giveaways in the near future.

The Twilight Soundtrack ... My TwiLife
Edward ... TheShagDaddy (I cracked up when I saw that he had entered and had to laugh even harder when he won! He has promised to be good.)
And of course, there were some Twilight gifts for me as well. I now have Twilight, The Game
The Hubs bought me this poster, my absolute favorite Edward poster to date (I have the puzzle of it too)
Amber from Rob My World sent me this lovely pic
And Gozde from ROBsessed sent me this gorgeous pic. Click on it, but be prepared, it is huge
So if we ignore the tantrum thrown by my son (6) when we got home telling me that it was all my fault he didn't get to play enough Wii today and that he hated me and hated my birthday, it was a lovely day. As I'm writing this, I am enjoying a bowl of peanut butter cookie dough ice cream courtesy of The Hubs. So with a minor exception, the first day of my thirties was a winner.

Thanks to everyone who wished me a Happy Birthday! Tomorrow I will be seeing Sam Bradley and The Men as a continuation of my birthday celebration. Definitely looking forward to that.

Added - When I got home from the Sam Bradley contest, Ang from Why Not? Twilight, RPattz and Me

EW Outtakes - No Watermark

And it just got even better...bigger, without the watermark!

Thanks so much to MrPattinson.com. You can see these at more at their gallery.

Jeff Riedel EW Outtakes - Happy Birthday to me!

What a lovely gift I discovered on RobertandKristen.org. Outtakes from the Jeff Riedel shoot for Entertainment Weekly. This was for the first Twilight cover, oh so very long ago...

I love that Rob is smiling in this one
Now this makes me think of the meadow scene, you know, the one in the book
No words needed
Oh yes, definitely meadow scene worthy, can't believe this one is an outtake
You can see the rest of the outtakes and all of the photos from the issue in the gallery at RobertandKristen.org.

Promos (New Moon's cast)

This is the first time I've seen Kellan in full out Emmett in a video...So cool!

Twilight Parents Examiner Article

In my first Way Behind Wednesday, I mentioned that Twilight Moonlighter is now also the Twilight Parents Examiner. Well, she has graciously featured my Celebrate My Birthday Contest. You can read the article here. She is just too kind!

I realize that the wish list I promised hasn't made it onto the blog yet, but real life has gotten in the way. I'll try to get it posted this evening. In the meantime, don't forget to get your entries in. The drawing will be tomorrow evening!

Twilight Inspired "So You Think You Can Dance?"

Blue Foundation's Eyes On Fire, from the Twilight Soundtrack (which you could win) was the inspiration for a dance last night on "So You Think You Can Dance?"

Thanks New Moon Movie.

The Celebrate My Birthday Contest

So as I've been saying, my birthday is on Sunday. This is a big one for me, as I'll be waving goodbye to my twenties and ushering in the next decade of my life. Funny, I don't remember turning 11 or 20 as such a momentous occasion...oh well. At any rate, I am excited about what's to come. I've got a lot of plans for the next few years. To share my enthusiasm with my blog readers, I've decided to give birthday gifts to you! Yesterday I told you that I'm giving away a Twilight Soundtrack.
Today, I've enlisted someone you haven't seen around the blog in a while to help me out. I'm sure you all recognize this wonderful guy who worked so hard during the Sweethearts giveaway...
He hasn't been on the blog in a while because he was angry with me. When I tried to get him to review the 3-disc DVD from Target with me, he saw the Vampire Kiss Montage, fell off the couch, and refused to speak to me. He was traumatized. (If you've seen it, the Biology scene is obviously what did him in. He was appalled.) But, because he wants to share the love, he's returned to announce that in addition to the Twilight Soundtrack I mentioned yesterday, one of my lucky readers will be receiving this...
That's right, a little Edward of your very own. (To be honest, I was toying with the idea of giving away my extra Rob GQ, but I'm being greedy right now. Maybe it will show up in a giveaway somewhere down the road.) The possibilities abound when you have an Edward of your very own. Mine currently guards my Twilight books and related magazines. He enjoys making appearances at Twilight parties where he is of course always the guest of honor.

So now I know you're asking yourself how you can win one of these gifts, from me to you, in celebration of my birthday. It's very simple. Every time you do one of the following things, you earn an entry...

Leave a comment on this post
Leave a comment letting me that you follow my blog (or just started)
Follow me on Twitter and leave me a comment w/ your user name letting me know
Post about the giveaway and let me know in the comments
Tweet about the contest and let me know in the comments
Add a link to me to your sidebar/blog roll and let me know
or
I'll be posting a button shortly, putting it on your blog is also worth an entry

Yes, you have to leave a comment for each action individually so that you'll get multiple entries. So get busy commenting and you may very soon have an Edward all to yourself. I'll choose a winner randomly on Sunday evening.

Tune in tomorrow for my Twilight birthday wish list!

New Moon Soundtrack Available to Pre-Order

The New Moon Soundtrack is now available for pre-order on Amazon.com for $12.99. I ordered my Twilight soundtrack from Amazon and found them to be much less expensive than most other places. The release date is November 20. Hmm, isn't something else happening that day?

Don't have a Twilight soundtrack yet?
Well, then I have the contest for you. That's right, a Twilight soundtrack is one of the gifts I'm giving away in celebration of my birthday. Tomorrow I'll reveal the other gift and let you know how to enter to win.

Thanks to RobPattzNews for the heads up.

How Has Twilight Changed Your Life?

Our favorite funny girls over at Twitarded have graced us with their reader submitted "100-ish Ways Twilight Has Changed My Life" List, along with some contributions of their own. You will definitely get a kick out of this post. I have to admit, I was thrilled to see a few of mine make the list, and glad that my name wasn't attached to some of them...lol. Here are a couple of my favorites...

I had never pre-ordered a book before...never bought movie tickets in advance...never attended the midnight release of anything!

I often think that people I meet in Walmart on a rainy day could actually be Vampires because it might be they only time they can shop.

I saved on my electric bill. I didn't turn on my TV for a month until I was done with all books.

I feel strongly about saving the forests, because how else will Edward go running with me through the trees??

When I see someone step into the sun, I check to see if they sparkle - seriously - and I'm always disappointed when they don't.

I frequently have nightmares about all of my prized Twilight possessions in plastic bags marked as "Exhibit A" in my divorce proceedings/commitment hearing.

I never fantasized about a fictional 17-year-old before, at least not since I was 17.

I'm finally an "expert" on something...so what if it's a fictional world and a beautiful British boy?

I have become VERY possessive of my laptop at home...often sounding like a child..."Get off it, it is mine!"

and SO many more. I don't know how they ever narrowed it down. Did any of mine make the list? Yes they did, some I'd openly admit to, some I wouldn't. Can you guess which ones they are?
(And no, guessing the one that says "Thanks, Amber" by it doesn't count)
