Edward Anthony Masen was born to Edward and Elizabeth Masen on June 20, 1901 in Chicago, Illinois.
He was changed into a vampire by Dr. Carlisle Cullen in September of 1918.
He appeared to the lovely Stephenie Meyer in a dream just two weeks before his birthday in 2003. She decided to write his story and the rest, as they say, is history.
So Happy Birthday to the most important fictional man in my life...Edward.
Check out the Happy Birthday tribute over at Cullen Boys Anonymous. Here is one of the wonderful videos they posted which contains some of my favorite pictures of Edward.
And just as they did for Rob's birthday, Twitarded has brought us the deets on Edward's birthday from The Secret Language of Birthdays. (mature language warning, but it's Twitarded, so you know that by now, right?)
Also, I think we owe a shout out to Rob today as well. Not only did he bring the character of Edward to life, but he saved us all from having our visions of Edward ruined by the "long, timeless hair" that Catherine had imagined for him. Thank you Rob, for sitting through 8 hours of hair extensions and making them pull them all out the next day. Believe me, Edward and all of those who love him are eternally grateful.
Check out the Edward discussion over at The Danger Magnet. It is SO worth the read!
I love what Peter says at the end..."Thank you for following me, I have no idea where we're going, but it's gonna be a good time." You just have to love Peter.

NO ONE even tried to touch Rob, & from what I could tell, no one was even snapping pictures in his face except for this one paparazzi who had been hanging around outside the building all day. He was crouching on the ground snapping pictures behind Rob's umbrella, Rob was hiding his face. Some of the cabbie slammed on his breaks. Rob was tapped a little in the hip, but they kept going. Rob then went into his trailer. The majority of news outlets are now reporting that the original reports were exaggerated. That matches up with the official statement from Summit about the incident. were moving very quickly, causing their little circle that was protecting Rob to break up. Soon one guard was guiding Rob by the shoulders and led him across a street where there was a red light and moving traffic. I was right behind him at this point and saw the entire thing happen. The cab was coming quickly but saw them jump in front of it, so the
“Rob Pattinson is fine, the reports are exaggerated and it was not caused by fans. Production continues ,” according to a Summit spokesperson. While of course I am super glad that this wasn't as bad as originally reported, that doesn't change what happened on Monday. According to People, Rob has hired his own security in addition to that being provided by Summit through the production company. The guards that were with him today were obviously just trying to make sure that Rob was safe and they may have instead worsened the situation. Why? Because they now expect the worst from fans.
There are a lot of things going on behind the scenes of the blogging world right now. You may see changes in the near future. For starters, I pulled the one paparazzi photo I had on the blog, the picture of Rob in full Edward costume from the set. We're working on ways to make sure we don't feed the frenzy of these fans who seem to have no sense of self-control or understanding of acceptable boundaries. We want to do all we can to respect the celebrities who give so much of themselves to us, and to help the fans understand that we should only take what they give. They do not belong to us, they have lives outside of their careers, and they are human beings with thoughts, feelings and rights, just like anyone else.
It's been an incredibly long day, so I'm going to leave it at that for now. I highly recommend you check out this post on Super Secret Twilight Blog which is along the same vein.
Very nice, right? So why is it that crazed people claiming to be his "fans" keep pushing the envelope with him? Why is it that they feel it is their right to stalk him, physically accost him, and chase him? I just cannot understand! Monday's mobbing was bad, it was terrible. It made all the real Rob fans I know sick to our stomachs. But you know what? Today, it got worse.
Rob was hit by a cab while trying to get back to his trailer around noon today! That's right, he was hit by a cab! Luckily, he wasn't hurt, but this is just one close call too many. RadarOnline reports the following...
A team of five security guards were trying to fend off a crowd of teenaged girls when Robert was leaving the bookstore.
It was pouring rain as they tried to hustle him quickly across the busy street to the safety of his trailer.
Some of the teen girls were hysterical and Robert rushed across the road. As he did so, a taxi grazed him. The cabbie slammed on his brakes as soon as he realized what had happened.
It appeared as if the cab hit Rob in the hip. He stood there for a moment looking stunned. The bodyguard next to him checked if he was okay and then screamed and the fans: "You see what you did, you almost killed him!"This is just so far beyond my comprehension. I have never seen anything like this before in my life. We've been joking about forming the Pattinson Protection Agency or the Guardians of Rob to protect him. But this is so far beyond joking now. Something has got to be done. Rob's paranoid, afraid of the crowds...and it's looking like he's fully validated in that fear. Please people, we love him, we adore him, so why the heck do these "fans" keep trying to kill him?????
Now scroll back up, look at that picture, and realize that if someone doesn't do something, we are in very real danger of losing this great talent, or at the very least, that smile on his face.
Check back in a bit for another post about a fan movement I discovered earlier today.
People, who is a fan of Twilight and doesn't just love Carlisle? You know you all do! We've got to get together and pull this off for Peter. He brought the wonderful Dr. Cullen to life for us. Isn't this the least we can do for him! Plus, one of his followers is going to luck out and have a very exclusive piece of Twilight memorabilia.

So show Peter some love...get everyone you know to follow @peterfacinelli!
If you need some more motivation, these should help...
(Picture removed to avoid giving another moment's publicity to these crazed people...links are still active.)
And the second thing is this, apologizing for the behavior of total strangers. So Rob, I am SO sorry that these little fan girls attacked you like this. Now I realize, that I should not be the one apologizing, but I'm guessing that ladies with this lack of class and decorum are not going to do it themselves. In reality, they owe apologies to a lot of people. It is because of people like this that Rob is paranoid. It is people like this who have made it impossible to hold fan events for Rob. It is people like this who cause all of us to lose out on our chance to have a normal meeting with Rob.
There are some scarier pictures out there. I am just amazed at how oblivious these girls were. If you choose to do so, you can see the video here. I warn you, it's heartbreaking to watch. It never ceases to amaze me how gracious Rob is in every situation, but the hands in his hair at the end just demonstrate how totally freaked out he is. I propose we form a group of mature Twilighters to guard him. This mess would never happen again. Never. I am sad to say this may be the last movie we ever see Rob in that has open sets. Apparently, it just isn't safe for him. These few very rotten apples may have spoiled it for the whole bunch.
So to these...girls...Rob is a human being, a person with real feelings and a real life. He deserves his own personal space, privacy and respect. Would you have pulled that crap today with anyone else? Would you have wanted someone to do that to you? Your behavior was just utterly beyond excuse. Rob is not property, he does not belong to the fans. I'm speechless. And to Rob...again, so sorry. I promise, most of us would never imagine doing something so incredibly intrusive and over the line. We respect you, we enjoy your work and we're so glad that you're sharing your wonderful talents with us.
Here are some of the other posts from today. They all express the sentiments so well. The language is strong, but so are the emotions behind them and we are some strong women.
Cullen Boy Anonymous
Random Acts of Rob
Twitter quote from Cuteangiek of Super Secret Twilight Blog "Mr Pattinson is a HUMAN BEING not our personal man toy. Just because he played EC does NOT make him yours! Be respectful!"
And a wonderful example of how fans visiting the set today should have conducted themselves. Twitarded's own Jenny Jerkface was there. Read how she acted totally not like a Jerkface here. And more here.
We need to create a movement here Rob and Twilight fans. A movement with the motto from @gcgonc ""We should show Rob that the behavior today was the exception, not the rule"

Two of the people I have shared this wonderful news with, both readers of my blog, have asked who Sam Bradley is. This has caused me to realize that I have been neglectful in my blogging duties. I have not introduced you to him, although I never intended to keep him a secret from you. While you all know that Robert Pattinson is incredibly talented, what you apparently don't know is that he has very talented friends. It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of Rob's music, but apparently it's a secret that I love Sam's music, too. Rob My World's Amber (lovely name) is also a big fan of Sam's and I'm going to direct you to her posts to find out more about him. The following video came from her latest Sam post, It's Time for Some Sammy B Love. Also check out her post, Why I love Sam Bradley?
The picture up top is from the Random Acts of Rob post Meeting Sam Bradley. I am very hopeful that I will be able to write a post detailing my chance to meet Sam next month. In the meantime, I know once you watch the video you are going to want to know more about Sam, so here is his information...Facebook, MySpace, and of course, my personal addiction...Twitter.
I promise not to keep secrets like this in the future.
