Well, I have to say that I was underwhelmed by today's interview. After the Kristen interview, I was expecting something on the same level, but that's not exactly what this is. It's no surprise that Robert recently watched 30 Days of Night considering that it was directed by David Slade, who will be directing Eclipse. Glad to know he's checking out the work of the new director. He talks about his new fame and hoping that it doesn't change him. We hope that too. And I still think it's funny that he isn't really a vampire fan.
Which is your favorite motion picture vampire of all time?
I always liked the original Nosferatu. I watched 30 Days of Night recently. I thought it was really good. But I wouldn’t say that I was a vampire fan.
You must be offered a lot of roles now. How are you making your choices?
I judge things purely on the script. I’m booked up for this year. I’ve been doing the most different things you can possibly imagine. Every part is so different. I can’t say any of the parts I’m doing — they haven’t been finalized yet. But I don’t pick them in terms of genre; purely the script. If I like the script and I like the part, then that’s all that matters.
You can read the whole article here.
Snarkier Than You and Jenny Jerkface are the women behind Twitarded. Their posts frequently cause me to laugh so hard I nearly cry. The Hubs is used to hearing their posts read to him between my breathless fits of laughter. You have to check these girls out. (I love you ladies, but I do have to post this warning. The language there is frequently R, and JJ would be the first to tell you this.) Click here to get info on their contest and let them know how Twilight has changed your life.
Lauren is also celebrating her 100th post with a giveaway. Of course you remember all the hilarious adventures of Pocket Edward. I have to say, making enchiladas is still my favorite. And who can forget when Lauren found PE in the oven! If you have no idea what I'm talking about, get yourself over there and read through her old posts now, hurry, run like Edward! You will be laughing for hours! Read all about the contest and the gorgeous necklace that she's giving away here.
So congratulations to STY, JJ and Lauren! I look forward to your next 100 posts!

I haven't always been the biggest fan of Kristen Stewart. Don't get me wrong, I've always thought she was the right choice for Bella. I suppose I just didn't get her, if that makes any sense. I think she's gotten a bad rap in the media and some of the fans have been really rough on her and her portrayal of Bella. If you're one of those who wasn't all that thrilled with her acting in the movie, especially the hospital scene, watch the DVD with the commentary on. When you know what was really going on there, she acted it beautifully. It was more real than you might think. Plus, the commentary is just wonderful, so you really need to watch it. Add to that the golden popcorn drop at the MTV Awards and then this interview, and I'm amazed at how much my thoughts on KStew have changed. I think she's kind of like that person you always think is so stuck up, but they're really just shy. Do you know what I'm talking about? I think she's good at what she does and she really cares about her characters. And what matters most, she really "gets" Bella, and that's all we can ask for. (Which also reminds me of the interview when she talked about doing the CGI for Bella jumping off the cliff. She really does totally get Bella.)
Again, this whole interview is wonderful and it's a must read...here are just a few excerpts
What are the changes in this second installment? Your character Bella takes risks again…
Well, she loses what basically gives her the drive to do anything in her whole life. She loses the man she’s in love with, but she also loses her entire life plan, and she’s so young to have to be forced into a decision like that. It’s just a glorified, elaborate version of the worst breakup you’ve ever been through. All of a sudden you question everything. All of a sudden you know nothing and you’re dropped in the middle of a freezing cold ocean.
Oddly, we have a character that’s warm enough and bright enough to bring her out of that, and it’s truly gut-ripping. Because as perfect as Jacob is for her, she holds on to an ideal, the ultimate fiery love that she has for Edward even though it’s not comfortable, it’s not practical and it’s not a good idea. So it’s really a very strong thing to do. It takes someone who really trusts themselves.
So basically the movie starts out and everything’s great, and then it gets absolutely terrible, and then it gets maybe OK again, and then it’s" no, no, no, no – life is hard." It’s going to get hard again because he comes back again.
Is she introverted or just seeking an ideal?
It’s not that she’s incredibly introverted. She’s just yet to have found a connection that is truthful. She’s a seeker of the truth. She’s not one to get wrapped up in something that is a fantasy. She doesn’t set herself up for disappointment. So that’s what makes the story with her and Edward so compelling, in that this is a girl that normally wouldn’t do something this crazy.
So what does Kristen prefer, the werewolf or the vampire?
Kristen shouldn’t open her mouth (Laughs). Kristen is entirely torn. Kristen should stop using her name in the third person.I love that last part. She's got a great sense of humor. You can read the rest of the interview here. Tune in tomorrow for their interview with Robert Pattinson.
Q. Let’s get to your character, Jacob. He is actually in love with Bella…
A. Jacob’s love for Bella is really intense. He will always be there for Bella, no matter what. Even if she’s with another guy… or a vampire!
Q. Do you ever discuss Jacob with Stephenie Meyer?
A. It’s really cool because she comes up here every once in a while for her favourite scenes. At the beginning of filming, she gives a list of her favourite scenes that she wants to be up here for. You've got the best person in the world to ask for advice. So if you have a question, you can just walk on over and ask her.
I'm sure I've said it here before, but I am SO glad that Taylor is back as Jacob. I just love him and can't wait to see what he does with the role in New Moon.
Part three (yes, I'm going out of order) is their interview with Chris Weitz
You must read this article. That's right, I said must and I meant it. Drop all else you are doing and go directly to the full article. Wait! Instead, read this post first then drop everything you are doing and go directly to the article. Do not pass go, and if you do happen to collect $200, don't you think you should send me a commission? Okay, I digress...
When Chris Weitz was named as the director of New Moon, I was unsure. I didn't know much about him, but the fact that he'd read the books was a big plus in my mind and then Stephenie gave her blessing, pretty much sealing the deal. I have to say, every single thing I have seen has just made me feel more and more like Summit made the right decision by bringing this man on board. From the trailers, the pictures, the interviews, the articles...it looks like he is doing an awesome job with New Moon. This is my favorite interview so far.
Q. “Twilight”, the first installment of the series, received some criticism for not being 100 per cent true to the book. Are you addressing some of these issues?
A. It’s impossible to be completely faithful to every single page of a book because movies don’t have enough time. So you end up cutting things and combining things. But I would say that we’re definitely using the book as our bible. My take on this film is the film is the book and Stephanie Mayer is my main resource for everything in this. I’m constantly checking with her to see if it’s something a character would do or a detail is right. You can never absolutely please everybody but my main intention is to satisfy the fans of the book.
Q. Could you tell us about New Moon and how it’s different from Twilight?
A. I think we get an opportunity to sort of expand our scope -- from the confines of the forest to Italy. Your sense of mythology of this world is deepened so that the story that underlies what was going on in the first movie becomes more and more clear. And there are a lot of secrets that were set up in the first book and the first movie that come to light in the second movie. So there are a lot of surprises in store.
Now go read the rest of the article here. And come back to let me know what you think.
I thought Peter and Elisabeth just looked fantastic! Is that Mike Welch over Taylor's shoulder?

Okay, I still didn't get through everything, but at least I made a big dent. I've got a teething baby so this will have to do for now.
Thanks to the following websites...Cullen Boys Anonymous, TwiCrack Addict, Twilight Moonlighter and Random Acts of Rob.
Choosing my favorite parts to post here was just impossible. You really need to read the article yourself, especially if you don't understand the fascination that this man holds for so many smart girls and women. (Although I must admit, as the only female in a house of all boys, I more frequently refer to myself as a girl than a woman.)
"Before we begin, it is important to note one thing about smart girls and Robert Pattinson. They know the difference between Robert Pattinson, the actor, and Edward Cullen, his character in Twilight."...Amen. Thank you for making that point clear.
While she mentions the obvious initial attraction, she is quick to point out that a pretty face does not keep a smart girl entertained for long. A woman of more substance requires a man of more substance. Smart girls appreciate talent and Rob is certainly talented. If you haven't heard him sing, you have no idea what you are missing. I sometimes find myself listening to his songs and almost wishing that he was doing his music full time rather than acting right now. Almost, because of course he is also a very talented actor. What I love about Rob's acting is that he almost becomes invisible when he's doing a role. You don't see Robert Pattinson on the screen anymore. You see Edward, Art, Daniel or Dali. He is almost chameleon like in the way that he becomes the character.
For me, of course the accent is part of the appeal, but it's not just the way he says things, it's the things he says. You can always count on Rob for something funny, occassionally inappropriate, but always refreshing. Honestly, his sense of humor is so much like the hub's, I just have to shake my head sometimes. I love that he's going to be Rob, whether you think that's cool or dorky, good or bad, he is what he is. I admire that, particularly in the world that is Hollywood.
Okay, the article does an awesome job and I am up so far past my bedtime, so I'm going to leave you to you're reading. No matter how you feel about Robert Pattinson, I think there are a lot of wonderful things to come from him, and I can't wait!

"Ready? Action! Jacob fastens a necklace on Bella. “It catches bad dreams,” he tells her. But Bella only dreams of Edward, played by Robert Pattinson. The British actor is leaning nearby on a car, a figment of Bella’s imagination. She is continually haunted by memories of this impossible love.
As the cameras roll for the third take, Lautner forgets his lines. “Sorry, I’m totally lost,” he laughs. “Cut, reset!” orders Weitz. The cast had a 5 a.m. wake-up call. Lautner outdoes himself in the fourth take. “That was my favourite!” enthuses the director.
The heavy atmosphere of the Vancouver weather seems to temporarily lift as lunch break is declared. Even vampires get hungry, and Pattinson joins us for a quick bite and chat. In full vampirical make-up and sporting yellow contact lenses, we almost expect him to bite us instead of his food.
His role is minimal in New Moon, yet crucial nevertheless, as we see in the next sequence.
Stewart, standing on a platform to reach up to the tall actor, leans in for a kiss. Is it real or is Bella’s imagination playing tricks on her again? Fans will have to wait until the movie’s November release to find out."
Tomorrow they'll talk to Taylor. So does this mean we're going to start seeing the behind the scenes reports that Summit has kept under wraps until now? Please say that it is so. This is the most exciting thing I've read lately! Read it all here.
