Indefinite Hiatus

I'm sure you've noticed there hasn't been any new activity on the blog for quite some time. For a myriad of reasons, it's time to officially go on hiatus again. This may be permanent, it may not. I haven't decided at this time. Running the blog alone is more than I can do with the other demands in my life and to be honest my heart just isn't in it anymore.

A huge thank you to all the faithful readers who have hung with the blog over the three years now that it's been around. When I first started this, I didn't know if anyone would ever see it. Now it's global, averaging 10,000 hits a month even when I'm not posting new information. I've met some wonderful people because of the blog and I count many of you among my treasured friends.

The email and twitter for the blog will remain active. Thanks again! Hope 2012 brings fabulous things to all of you!

Last Day to vote for People's Choice Awards

There may not be a Twilight movie in the nominations for People's Choice Awards but there are plenty of nominees with ties to the Saga.

The most obvious of course if Robert Pattinson's nomination for Favorite Movie Actor. He's got some stiff competition, facing Hugh Jackman, Johnny Depp, Ryan Reynolds and Daniel Radcliffe.

Next, you have Taylor Lautner's nomination for Favorite Action Movie Star. This is a very stiff category and I hate to say it, but Taylor is definitely looking like a long shot here. While there is definitely a lot of action in the saga, the only true action movie that he's done so far is Abduction. Maybe a little premature to consider him an action movie star.

There are some Twi-related nominees in the music category this year. Of course, Bruno Mars was responsible for the first single of the Breaking Dawn part 1 soundtrack. He's nominated for both Favorite Male Artist and Favorite R&B Artist. Linkin Park was a part of the very first Twilight soundtrack. They are nominated for Favorite Band.

Peter Facinelli doesn't just play a doctor in the saga movies, he also plays one on television in Nurse Jackie. That show is nominated in Favorite Cable TV Comedy.

Water for Elephants is not only what got Rob nominated this year, it's also a contender in several other categories. Rob's WFE co-star Reese Witherspoon is nominated for Favorite Movie Actress. The movie itself is nominated for both Favorite Drama Movie and Favorite Book Adaptation. I'm a little worried about it winning on either category simply because it's up against The Help in both of them. That's another incredible movie.

Also worth noting, although only Twi-related when you consider that Rob was in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire...four of the five nominees for Favorite Movie Star Under 25 are from the HP movies. Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint and Tom Felton. Chloe Moretz is the only exception. Really strange to think this is the last year HP will be nominated!

If you haven't voted, or even if you have, go vote now! Polls close at midnight!

Bella's Wedding Dress causing a stir?

According to TMZ, girls are faking engagements in order to try on a replica of Bella's wedding dress from Breaking Dawn part 1 and it's causing issues for bridal shop owners. This picture is from their story...

Not to be snotty here, but let's get real. If you put the stand ups of Edward and Jacob in your store window, it's going to attract attention. I think their choice of display could be causing some of the issue. As far as "faking engagements" I doubt they're the first people to ever do that! lol
The replica dress by Alfred Angelo is available for $799 in sizes 0 to 30W. It's breath-taking, without question.
So...would you "fake" an engagement to try it on? That term just makes me lol. If it's causing issues for shops, I hate that, but let's look at how they're advertising and go from there, you know?

The Muppets take on Twilight

The Muppets have been using parodies as an advertising too for the new movie. First it was "Breaking Prawn" and now we have these posters!

I think WereRowlf is my favorite! LOL What do you think?

Someone Like You - the Jacob Black remix

So, 4tnz came out with this video a month ago, but I wouldn't post it because there is so much from Breaking Dawn part 1 in it and I know how many of you all didn't want to see anything before you took your seat in the theater. But, it is just too clever not to post!

Every time I hear Adele sing this now, I can't help but replace "out of the blue" with "out of the woods" ;)
Hope you enjoy it and hope you're getting to see Breaking Dawn part 1 this weekend.

A few tips for Breaking Dawn part 1

I am in NO WAY ready to write a review or even do a very good job of summarizing my thoughts about Breaking Dawn. I'm still a little shell-shocked. It was a very intense and emotional experience. Having said all that, I did throw together a few quick tips to keep in mind when you head out to see Breaking Dawn part 1.

1. I highly recommend that you go see this film yourself before you take a child with you. This is far different from the other movies just as the book is far different from the other books. The content is far more adult and intense. And no, I don't just mean the honeymoon scene. This is a whole different ball game and you really need to see it for yourself to make the judgement as to whether or not your child, pre-teen or young adult is ready for it.

2. Stay through the credits! There is an extra scene in the credits that foreshadows part 2. Apparently my group were the only ones aware of this and we had to keep telling everyone else so they wouldn't stand right in front of us while we were waiting. lol

3. Everyone who has ever been to a movie with me knows this is a biggie for me...Please remember that you are in a theater filled with other people who have spent their hard-earned money to see this movie. Be respectful of them and DO NOT talk during the movie!!!!! I cannot stress this one enough. I'm not saying don't laugh when it's funny, but I cannot understand why people pay for a movie ticket to have a conversation with each other when they could have done it in the hall for free! It's very distracting during a pivotal, emotional scene when everyone around you insists on talking.
*Also, just because you know the songs on the soundtrack, that doesn't mean we want to hear you sing them during the movie. No, it hasn't happened to me, but it has happened to someone I know.

4. Sit back and enjoy it. It's a roller coaster ride, but one of the most true to the books of the entire saga. There's only one more after this, folks.

And this one was added on my facebook list by my wonderful sister, Joy...she's extra wonderful because she is the one who introduced me to the books back in 2007 ;)

5. Plan your schedule for when you'll be seeing it in the theaters again.(and again).

I cannot agree more. I'm heading back to the theater this evening to see it again. Oh, and one more thing...the ending? Perfect, and exactly where I wanted it to be!

**UPDATE** Can't believe that I forgot to mention this one..
6. Bring your tissues!!!

I have now seen it three times and I'm completely amazed at the additional things I've noticed each time. Very impressed.

At the theater...be back soon! ;)
